2012 F150's

I am getting anxious for the dealers to put out information on the new trucks. Anyone know when the new brochures will appear at dealers?
Thanks, Matt

The earliest I would think is after August 18. Thats the end of the 2011 run and Ford will probally start releasing 2012 info shortly after?

I've been waiting anxiously too. It doesn't seem that Ford is in any hurry to let information out about the 2012s. I'm really just hoping for new colors and a different style woodgrain in the Lariat. And new wheel designs for the Lariat would great, as the current ones have been around for awhile now. I've seen the new wheel designs for the Super Duty chrome packages and they're really cool. I really want to trade the ol' Silverado in, so the sooner the better Ford!

09's and 10's were about the same maybe a color change here and there outside the Raptor that were late 2010s. The 11's had some major changes powertrains pkgs ect. I kinda look to 2012s to be pretty much cary overs from 2011.

What might they change? other then colors or some minor pkg content.

Thanks for the welcome. I have always been a Ford person but I just really liked the 99-06 Silverados and so I had four of them and one Avalanche. I still have always had Ford cars. I'm not the only one who is converting in my family though. My dad, my uncle and my grandpa have all switched to F150s from Silverados over the last few years. My great-grandpa would be rolling in his grave though.. He was a Chrysler Master Technician.

I'm guessing mostly colors and trim. I saw that 2012 fleet guide that added "Green Gem" but like I've stated on other threads, I don't think it's very reliable because I compared it to order guides from other 2012 Ford models and there were a lot of discrepancies. I'm really want a dark red/maroon color like "Royal Red." The Super Duty is getting a new color called "Autumn Red" and I hope that makes its way over to the F150!

Yes I am with you, I hate they took vermilion red out of the XLT line up, That was the best red IMO..

Does anyone think the 2012 could be a big change? it seems that the 2011 body and power train, sans engines, electronics and interior, have been around a long time. I own an 06 KR and do not see a lot of structural improvements. Reason for my question is that I am looking to replace my 2006 KR with a new F150 is to pull a 30 Ft, TT. Should I buy a 2011 EB with max tow package with all the closeout deals, or get an 2012? My 2006 KR, 4X4, with 4 speed and 5.4 has little or no towing margin for the trailer.

The entire truck body and chassis was all new for 2009, the power trains were all updated with all new engines for 2011. I would not expect any real major changes till 2014 model year. At that point I would expect a lighter weight possibly smaller more fuel efficient version to meet the next round of CAFE requirements. I doubt the F150 gets any larger or more capable then they are today. At least as long as our government has a say in it.
