2011 5.0 f-150
Kevin
I can't make up my mind on those new wheels, in the original pics posted they seem really dark (leading me to think they won't pair well with all colors, IMO). In the pics just posted of the black FX4 they look lighter. They look great on the black and silver posted, and i'm sure would look great on white too. I'm doubtful of them looking terribly great on the red(s) and blue flame. i think they will also be too much gray on the DSG colored trucks
am I too picky, probably!

but its still sexy with the HD tail/ head lights and new grill. even the rims look good with the black paint.
good find
Yes i know it's not that great compared to the 5.0 but those number are like driving a mid size sedan. So in that maner, it's really great.
But i think the 5.0 with a supercharger as my vote
i guess I'm just going to have to take your word till I can see them in person. The local dealer inventory (according to Ford build and price) lists 12 2011 F150's in stock but all of them where XL's, XLT's, and 1 Lariat. I have yet to go see if this is true or not.
I HATE lag time!!! My local dealer has listed 10-12 2011's but they still are not here. I went over the other day to take a look at and drive a 5.0, but all they had were some 2010's.
I figured that was what was likely going on here, they where allocated but had not arrived yet..
Now I have a salesman calling every couple days trying to sell me a 2010. He called the other day and offered a 2010 Lariat for a little less than the 2011 I spec'ed out. The difference in price would have been made up in about a year or two(in taxes and gas use) if I would have bought the 2010.
I read at Edmunds that some of the 2011s are being delayed due to a shortage in parts. You would think Ford would find a new story. This is what they blamed the delay in the release of the 2011 Mustang GT on, when in fact it had nothing to do with parts and everything to do with them trying to move the 2010s prior to release.
They are a company just like anyone else. They have to move the older models or they'll sit on the lots while the '11s sell like hotcakes. It's not all bad, those who don't mind the older powerplants are getting some great deals right now.

O and those new mustangs are so freaking quiet from the inside....you have to actually have to watch the tachometer on the sticks...might be I don't drive a stick everyday...eitherway Ford did a good job making them quiet on the inside.
Keep in mind the sales guy is going to play the company line. Ford wants/needs the Eco-boost to be successful. You can bet that regardless of what the Ford sales guy personally thinks, his training seminars all say push the eco-boost, push the eco-boost.
If I go for a new F-150 it will be with the 5.0. Plenty of pulling power for me and I still get that 8 cylinder music. Something about cruising around the country on a two lane road in the summer time in a full size truck wouldn't be the same with "just a V-6." As long as the 5.0 meets my needs, I am sticking with the V-8.

For sound it definately goes to the 5.0, for gas usage, power, and overall smoothness it goes to the ecoboost.
