The fuel mileage is not going to be as drastic as some people are hoping for...I see maybe a 1.5-2MPG difference...I'll keep my V8 sound over that savings.

When they did the Texas Stampede at Texas Motor Speedway and I talked to some of the engine engineers they said they are shooting for 23 highway with the ecoboost. I know on the 12 miles test loop the Ecoboost I was driving showed 26 MPG's with 3 stops and a guesstimated average speed of about 60 MPH. Who knows though that could of been a rigged one or something.

All I do know is I am really loving the ecoboost even tried going in hating it, but the 5.0 had great sound and seems to be as quick. I have ordered an 2011 with the ecoboost, but no VIN and I am needing a new truck pretty soon. Maybe I can find a 5.0 with my setup I might pull the trigger early.

The beast 6.2 was the most awesome motor there, I just can't swallow the 12 MPG's in the city. Highway is what I am getting now, around 17 but still that 12 just makes me cringe. I don't think gas is going to get any cheaper anytime soon.

I agree with both comments 100%!

What really bites is that the Max Tow Package is only available with the EcoBoost. I need the Max Tow. The payloads fizzle out way before tow capacity when you have a family of four and 700 pounds of tongue weight. I expect the payload on a fully optioned Lariat non-Max Tow to be around 1500 pounds, and the same with the Max Tow (EcoBoost) to be around 1700.

Is it as bad, or worse, than the wonderful 2009MY Amber Gold?

No, you can get the 6.2 with max tow in certain models.

It's that golden bronze color. It kind of looks like a shade of the brown in the center of the sylvania ad on these pages.

Saw a Lariat Limited today.

Damn, that truck was so nice. Didn't have time to stop at the dealer to look at it. Anyway it was coming back from a road test.

Yeah, but if this guy's concern is with payload, he will have less of a payload rating with the 6.2L than he would with the EB because the 6.2L is heavier.

The dealer here just advertised 4 ecoboost equipped 2011 F150's available for a 'see-n-drive' event this wednesday from 5-8pm. Count me in! It's already running through my head, get vids of a drive by, in the truck, and romping on it
