new here

Well just read all 20 pgs this thread really sucks you in. Marshal great build you have a good jump on your todo list, and if your like me that list probably won't end lol. The method wheels where my first choice but I couldn't commit, the blacked out stockers look great and IMO couldn't have come out better mated with those tires. I think I read some where in here u were thinking about a prerunner bar? If u are look at the n-fab I love the way it looks. Again great build
i sold one of my Rifles recently and picked up 2 new guns, i dont know if anyone is interested in hearing about that or not. but as far as the truck realm goes - i should have the exhaust in my hands if not tomorrow, sometime next week.
being only 18 should be more of a gift than a hinderance, i was 17 when i started work on my wrangler - just go into it with an open mind and dont let yourself get frustrated
this. when i start to realize i'm getting frustrated on my landcruiser i just quit what i'm doing and take a long break or pick up on it the next day. usually works out better and no short cuts are taken
60% of the time, it works every time.

wheeladapter.com - talk to Fred Goeske, he runs the place. hes old as time but he knows what hes talking about
right now current goals are having the rims powdercoated or painted semi-gloss black, 35x12.50x18 General Grabber Red-Labels, Rancho 4" lift, cutting the exhaust and having it dumped after the muffler (after my Jeep, the quiet is comfortable), and have the bed line-X'd
after that long term goals are HID's, Re-gear to 4.88, SCT Tuner, Deaver 4" rear leafs, Camburg upper control arms, and upgrade the audio

i donno anymore. i cant decide between 4.56's and 4.88's. i had 4.88s in my jeep for 35's and i wish i had 5.13s. and on the other hand of the perspective i wish i had 4.10's with my stockers, which means 4.56's would put me back at stock RPM range and 4.88's would one up it.
in the long run i'll probably go 4.88, just trying to reason with myself that its just as good of an idea with a V8 as it is with a I6

Remember that gear ratios are often a difference of 300 RPM in final drive. So hypothetically, if you were doing 80mph at 2k rpms with 35s and 3.73s, 4.56s would be 2600 and 4.88s 2900. Now that's all rough estimates and pulling numbers from thin air - but you get the idea
It is decently flat in Texas, id go with 4.56s. For me it's hilly, and I'm not far from the mountains.

What is the cab configuration of your truck? Weight has a lot do do with it too, plus all terrains are lighter and there for easier to spin than mud terrains or max traction tires. 4.56s might suit your needs

always makes for a good show
