For no apparent reason I bought a new truck

So here's how I ended up with my 2010 Lariat 4x4. I had a 2007 Lariat 4x4 Supercab with only 33k miles. THEN I saw my buddies '09 XLT and fell in love. I told myself I didn't like the color of my truck (green), that I wanted the space of a Supercrew (whatever), that I NEEDED Sync, etc. All reasons I pretended were sound. I fought the urge for 5 months and finally broke down to the urges. My wife gave me the ok as long as I promised to buy the EXACT truck I wanted because she didn't want to hear how I needed the next best thing in 2 years. I searched the "Local Inventory" until I found the perfect truck and then drove 440 miles to get it. Rolled off the lot with 6 miles on it.

Here's what I ended up with.

Click here for the full details but the pics should tell the story.

Before anyone says it yes, I know I didn't need it!

Congrats on getting what you wanted. I have one almost just like it coming in this week and can't wait to get my hands on it.

Thanks guys. I honestly don't think I've been this happy with a vehicle purchase ever. While I'm sure there's problems with the model I continue to be blown away by Ford's final product in the F150. It's been great so far but that's only 700 miles so far. We'll see over time but it's really a great truck. Good luck with yours!

That just goes to show, get what you want, then appreciate what you have. At this point, your wife is the real keeper.

I'll keep my eye out for another thread when they release all the new engines next year...

Congrats on the new truck. I'm holding out for the '11 myself.

Awesome, great choice, nice color and nice to hear your wife let off a lil. Don't screw it up in 2 years by saying how you needed the next best thing, she wouldn't like that lol.
