Anybody install a Nav Lockpick?
Hey fishnfool, I just got the following email from them after inquiring about sync jukebox compatability :
"We will be coming out with a lockpick that will be available for the new sync radios with the jukebox feature within the next few weeks. Would you like me to email you as soon as it is available?
--
Please let me know if I may assist you further."

i watched the video, seems like he activates the Lockpick by double pressing the power button. anyone know if you have to activate it everytime you wanna use it or can you activate and leave it on, then say deactivate it when you take it in for warranty work? it would suck to ahve to push the power button twice everytime i wanted to use the rearview camera or watcha DVd or enter a destination by hand (or my passenger)

"Two more weeks" seems to be their standard answer. I've been checking since I got my truck, and that's always what they say.
On a good note, I have a buddy who bought their Lockpick for his Yukon and he said it was very easy to install and works flawlessly.

so they give good enough instuctions to do this yourself?? That will be good if you need to pull it out to get warranty work done on your nav!
All you have to do is plug one end of the Lock Pick to your factory harness, then the other end to the nav unit.
The web site (somewhere on it) reflects "shipping late January"......I guess they didn't meet that date. I received an email back from them a couple of weeks ago it they said two weeks. I wonder what the hold up is......
I'm sure they are just working out some H/W and/or F/W bugs. I work in a development team for an A/V equipment manufacturer and we typically have 5 pre-production factory builds prior to production to work out most of the problems before we dump it on the customer to find the rest.
Well, there website has been updated and it now says "in production" instead of "shipping late January".

I'll believe it when I see it. They must be having some major bugs to work out. Don't know if I want to be the first one on the block to have one of these.
Who is willing to take one for the team and try it out when they release it????
