Well it appears that the Platinum's are on hte move. A dealer search has 2 Platinum's listed as being available, dealers are expecting them any day now.

My dealer got a update today that mine is on a Rail Car and is expected to be in town the 6th of December. Expect to pick it up sometime the week of the 8th as I want the dealer to have Linex applied.

It's kinda aluminium... Look really nice, kinda like previous gen F150 (Pre 1997).

The white Platinum that I posted pics was ordered for the sales manager as a demo... He sold his 3rd or 4th Harley Davidson demo :P...

The dealer call today and mine was delivered to them this afternoon.

Unfortunitly I won't be able to pick it up until next week but I did go down to the dealer, took a couple of pictures of the dirty truck and took it for a short drive.

It's even nicer than I thought it would be

Now if I only knew how to add pictures to these replies, I parked my 2007 next to the new one for comparison.

I should hopefully be in the Platinum club in the morning also. Going to sort it out in the morning and should be able to pick it up tomorow or get it sometime next week.

Here are a few comparison pictures and a few additional of the new truck... The truck had just been delivered and the dealer has not had a chance to clean it up or to have LINEX applied.

Thanks for some side-by-side pics, very nice.

Are you trading in the 2007 because you had problems with it? My '04 has a horrid engine whine, so I can understand if something like that was the case; it's even making me think about getting an ecoboost in '10, and I always swore I'd only buy another truck if my current one was either a. in an accident b. had major mechanical (ie expensive) problems, or c. was newly remodeled. Was just curious why you traded since I had assumed (perhaps incorrectly) that by the '06-'08 years Ford had finally ironed out all the big issues with this current model.

I am one of the people that the lease seams to work well for. The 2007 lease end was up Oct 15 but was extended to allow the new truck to arrive. The 2007 has never been in the shop for anything other than an oil change or tire rotation. It has been flawless.

Does your Platinum already have a leveling kit installed? It looks higher than any other '09 I've seen. Also, it looks freakin' fantastic from the side (I'm sure the front and back will grow on me...)
