Didn't even know that DearbornDerek was here (shows how frequently I was in this forum up until the Media Day)... darn! We could've grabbed a beer or something, Derek!

Well there was not much to find out. DTP started shipping trucks out last Thursday. We built a few Platinums today...So they are coming.
They might be keeping us 2 extra weeks so the hunters can go get drunk....I, uh mean go shoot deer...
Word is 200 people are taking the buyout...so it may be permanent after all...

Did not see anything. Like I said DTP did not even get the o.k. to ship any trucks until last Thursday. The few people I talked to did not even know of any problems with the Platinum.

Cheers Derek.

This is what i cant understand. Ford cant tell me one reason as to why it's delayed. They wont even tell me when to expect it now. Im just hopeing that they are not going to stop production because of not having enougth orders for the platinum trucks???

What color Platinum did you order. I originally ordered a KR but liked the darker interior color available on the Platinum. Ordered the White Sand Tri-Coat exterior. Hope that wasn't a bad choice.

Just talked to my Dealer today and the latest update is my Platinum (Black) with Stone interior was release to the plant as of last Friday from a status of temporary delay... Ordered in June, orginally scheduled for Oct 13. So I have my fingers crossed for a late November delivery

This seems to be the response everyone is getting. Ford really need to let buyers know what on earth is going on and when to expect the trucks. It's crazy in my eyes that people are about to spend almost 50k on a truck and they cant even tell use when to expect it.
