If we are making wish lists that hopefully the engineers at Ford are looking at, then I want PTM Handles standard on XLT and up. The plastic ones only look good for so long. And better gas milage. I am going to need a second job just to make to my first one

Well my 06 is 9 months old, hopefully I wont be upside down when it comes time to trade it in on the newer 150. i like what I see so far, although I dont think I will buy in the first year, want to give the new model some time to get the bugs worked out

That's definitely a nice looking truck...I don't like the interior though...Of course I didn't like the current bench seat interior either, which is why I had to get the center console and console-mounted shifter.

Either way, I don't see enough difference just yet to make me even consider trading. Besides that, I'm pretty sure my next truck will be a 250 with a v-10.

Oh and by the way, the Michelins in the picture are the LTX A/S

I just hope they don't make the fenders like this:

That looks pretty bad, in my opinion.

Exactly. That's why I've never been a fan of step-side trucks.

I dunno, my 1998 was a FlareSide and I have missed the ease of use of that step on my '04 many a time. But you couldn't get the Lariat with the FlareSide back in 2004. In fact, I'm pretty sure Ford STILL won't let you order a Lariat in a FlareSide. Go figure out the genius of that one...

Ah well, I'm sure the '09's will have the tailgate step to eliminate that hassle of climbing into the bed.

the flareside would kill the king ranch on the current model.

IMO the flareside we have now is hideous .

the only ones ive ever liked have been lifted, but plain XLT flaresides in the current model look so bad unlike previous models

Where is this truck from? Is this a custom job, or a Photoshop deal?

Rol-A-Long produces these Ashley / Smith signature series Baja Champions trucks. Dave Ashley and Dan Smith are part of a very successful off road race team (Enduro Racing) who raced a 5.4 triton powered F150.

Roll-A-Long is right down the way from me and I see the Baja Champions trucks all the time (nearly every day). The Baja Champions package is usually an additional $10K on top of the truck price. The package includes fenders, wheels, 35" tires, new adjustable coil over front shocks and new rear shocks, a pre-runner light bar with lights, oval grill, cat back exhaust, a billet fuel door, graphics and a custom optional interior (cloth or leather).

You can see the *real* Ashley/Smith Duralast sponsored F150 race truck in action in the following video. Make sure you have the volume on so you can hear the sweet sound of that 5.4 triton powered engine singing across the Mexican desert.

It's just a heat shield. My Superduty has one.
