if those vents work, that is pretty cool, if they put the boss or a turbo diesel in the 150, then they might need to vent it because of those EPA stuff
i think they look fine on the SD, and if they make it a little more sleek, it will look fine on the 150

I guess it's all in what you like I cant stand the look of the vents or the new F superduty for that matter. And I cant stand the looks of the little door on the F-150 reg. cabs now, thats why I HOPE ford does away with them so I can get a new truck soon

From another forum:

"It's funny how all the "experts" here now think that this truck has not changed at all or know what it looks like with the camo on it. I'll just sit back and laugh at the posts knowing 99% of them are sooooo wrong." - Dearborn Derek

A little background on Dearborn Derek if you don't know...he is a Ford employee (hence his username) and is working directly with the 2009 F150. He has first-hand knowledge and knows his stuff!!!

Personally, I think the F150 will look awesome! Ford just has a way of making awesome looking trucks!

yeah he is on two other forums that i am on, he also keeps saying that they did a really good job with the camo, meaning its hard to tell what it will look like, but he says that it will look great

When will we see the new F150?

So I screwed up in 2004 and bought a new Z71 Silverado instead of the new F150 and I've been regretting that decision every day since.

I like the 2007 model and considered a trade, but I hate to buy a newer vehicle that gets worse fuel economy than my current truck. So the question is, when will the new F150 be unveiled to the public and when will it hit the showroom floor? Has any of this been released as of yet?

The 1/2 ton diesel has always been of interest to me along with the direct gas injection that I've heard rumors of for the new Fords. Aside from the heavily camouflaged spy shots that make it look like the current F150, is there anything that we know for sure will be included in 2009?

You'll probably first see it next January at the Detroit Auto Show or in March at the New York Auto Show. One thing I know is that all of the sheet metal has changed and it looks really good, this is according to Dearborn Derek.

i hope they keep it streamline and flush like the current one, unlike the other brands, which makes them ugly

Hard to get a lot more roundy and curvy than the '97-'04 models.
