i have a 05 f150 v6 xl im trying to figure out wich trans i have so i can buy a torque converter lock up solenoid once my trans is heated up the first time you restart and put it into drive it trys to move forward and dies and going from first to second it feels like you popd the clutch on a standard with out giving it enough throttle and it jerks and bogs down a little also when slowing down and coming to a stop the whole truck has a slight vibration can some 1 please help me if needed i can let you know all the numbers on side of trans just off the top of my head it has a 48 W on the side of it ... thanks

 

What is the TRANS code on the door jamb sticker?

Check again. A is for a manual 4 speed that I'm sure your truck does not have.

 

Incorrect. Trans code "A" on a 05 F150 is a 4R75W.

 

Google failed me. What I do see on google is that his trans should be a 4R70 not 75?

If it were a 4R70 it would be code "U".
