Hey Everybody, its an 05 fx4 screw with the "triton" 5.4. I got the truck a year ago overall i love it but my #6 cylinder is going to be the reason my truck ends up in the ocean. I Replaced all coil packs to Accels and top of the line plugs. I changed the injector and the cylindar came back for 1/2 mile. Thanthe sputtering came back. I have NO top end power. I have to keep overdrive off.. What am i missing please help!!

Ngk irridium plugs. Ok heres the deal. I had a number six miss changed plugs, still miss. I changed coils and serviced injectors. Put them back in. My miss went from cyl6 to cyl8. I remover #8 injector and replaced. Now im on all 8 clyinders. 24 hours later i get a number 6 miss again. Replaced injector. Got power (not full) but lost shortly after.

Sure it's not a 4.6L 2v? If it is indeed a 3V, again - which plugs are you using?
3V plug choices ( 2004 - mid/late 2008):
Motorcraft SP-507, 515. etc takes a 9/16" socket
Autolite HTx, Ford Racing M-12405-3V0, etc takes a 9/16" socket
Champion 7989 take a 5/8" socket.
E3 E3-70 takes a 9/16" socket. (and should be avoided at all costs )
Brisk Silver Racing 3VR17YS takes a 9/16" socket (AFAIK)
Those are your choices.
Enough o' that - on to yer issue:
You may have a cylinder-specific issue - cam follower, PCM wiring harness /connector to either injector or COP issue, a possible PCM driver issue for that cylinder ( output driver - one each for injector and COP ), etc.
May need some live recorded diags to be run to localize this.
( BTW - assuming dielectric is being used properly in the boots)
good luck

Thanks for the input. Just to start fresh i flashed the computer last night and i got my cylindar back! Id say about 90% power if felt thirsty for air. On the way home the check engine came back on with no change to the truck. ill grab the code in the morning hopefully resetting the memory will let it work itself out. Unlikely....

So after removing insoecting and reinstalling everything i have all of my cylinders back up. Im still reading bank 2 too lean. I changed the MAS and nothings changed im still lackingn a bit of top end power. Unless im moving overdrive starts to sputter. Im pulling my hair iut any suggestions? All vac lines have been inspected and cleared. (Just a thought) without my knowlage a buddy trying to help sucked seafoam into a vac line. He heard this cleans the heads. Could he have only cleaned bank two keeping bank one a mess? Making airflow uneven? Any input is greatly apreciated!!
