Please help me find the issue
Hoping to get a better look at it in the morning. Hoping I don't have to take it to the stealership, they charge 80 just to look!
Really?
I've taken it to two independent shops, Ford quik lube, and it's going to Ford Service department tomorrow. Was hoping someone can find something easy so I could avoid taking it in and just paying for them to look..

So here's where I am now. Took it to Ford Thursday... they told me it was natural. Got me to buy new brakes(talked to my local shop said I have 15-20k left on my brakes. Gave the stealership 536 dollars and left. Called later to complain because A. "natural is not a real answer" and B. my truck was filthy nasty with hand prints of grease, etc. Guy told me to bring it to him Friday and allowed me to drive his personal vehicle. Come back and they tell me the rotor/hub assembly is bad and I need to replace both fronts. I.E. another 650 dollars.. 219 for each part(list is 281) and 130 for labor, plus tax, etc little gaskets etc.

So you paid over $500 for brakes??? And they want $650 for hubs? If I were you I would start driving to a different dealership because that's shady treatment.
The sound I heard wasn't really a metal on metal grinding, which would indicate the bearings in the hub are shot. It sounds to me like something is loose and binding up. My two best guesses would be the bolts that mount the caliper are loose or the CV joint is going.
If it were me I would put the truck on jack stands, remove the rim, cut the wheel all the way over like it is when you hear the sound, grab the wheel studs and manually turn the hub. Observe where the sound is coming from without the wheel in the way. Whatever you do, don't let that dealership keep throwing parts at it and charging you 4x what you could have done it for yourself.

I had the same issue before grinding noise on slow turn and bumps. it's the bearing hub. Did you jack the front and try shaking both wheel from side to side? It theres a play on one of them it needs replacement. Make sure use two new spindle nut.
Thanks a lot guys. My local tech told me that I did NOT need new brakes for another 20-25k, so I got ripped on that. Ford had my truck for around 2 days, and told me I need to replace BOTH wheel hub assemblys and it would cost around 650 dollars. My local shop has it and their Ford tech said he will spend all day finding what is "actually" wrong with it before he charges me anything or just throws parts on it.
Hoping it's something easy, but he said it sounded(i showed him the video" like a hub assembly and he'd test it for me all day if he had to.
Ford claims which we're not sure, but they said they took off the entire hub assembly and swapped it to the other side, and then moved it back around and the noise followed that hub assembly. We'll see what they tell me!!
Thanks guys
