Everything sounds good! I wish the OBX kit's mid pipe was for duals and not a Y. Cause I still have mine torn apart right now wanting duals haha.

I think you'll be much happier with the stainless OBX headers and shouldn't have to worry about corrosion with them. Bumper looks good enough that I wouldn't ever notice something happened to it.

I'm sure the obx kit will be great. What size are the collectors? 2.5? If the kit was for dual's that would cut the cost down big on the finishing end. But regardless, it will all be good.

2.5 is better than the pace setters 3". And I can see the y pipe, just to tie into stock exhaust. But at least have an option for dual pipes!

3"? Good Lord. Exactly, an option would be nice! The Y pipe is actually great cause it fit right into my catback, but now I don't like it so I'll complain

Exactly! I'm hoping to get shipping confirmation tomorrow for the headers. I ordered from the link you had in your other thread. Still the cheapest price on any site. I honestly can't wait. I should probably start getting quotes sometime this week for the exhaust as well.

I need to figure out what I should do for tips. I've got one magnaflow double wall slant tip right now. I may order another and just spray them black.

That site is a little hidden gem for those OBX kits, cause nobody ever finds it when they're looking for them haha.

That'd be the most economical thing to do. I was gonna say to make sure to get polished 304 SS ones cause they can always be made to look brand new, but with black it doesn't matter.

Well my x4 tuner showed up! Even the canned tunes are better than my edge ones. Well, as far as options go. I even turned my rear o2's off! Haha. Going to send away for my custom tunes, then I've got to wait for the headers to show up.

Haven't gotten any shipping confirmations for my headers yet. I may call them tomorrow to find out.

Oh, and **** head from the parking lot put a claim in against me to my insurance company. I've got to call them tomorrow as well. By the looks of it he's stating I hit him. So I'll have to give them my statement saying that is false and that he hit me. Typical Monday.

Well happy about the first paragraph, and not so much about the last one haha. Good luck!

Well I went down and filed my half of the police report. Stated everything that happened. Also talked to my insurance company. They are saying that I'm at fault because I was in a reversing situation. And even though my statement states otherwise, it's cheaper for them to pay it than fight it. I told them to be careful of the damage on the vehicle because it was beat to shut before the accident. The cops also took pictures of my truck and the lack of damage to it. Which doesn't match up to the amount of damage he is claiming. So with any luck this will end better in my favour. Time will tell.

Just happy today ended with me passing both my provincial and interprovincial exams. So now I'm a certified heavy equipment technician able to work in all of Canada. Hello pay raise!

Back to the truck, getting all my stuff ready for the custom tunes. Headers were shipped today(can't wait). Exhaust will hopefully be done early November.

Sorry to hear about your ordeal. Had a similar situation happen to me in college. A buddy of mine knocked my Tacoma out of gear in a parking lot and it rolled into an absolute POS Chevy Corsica from the 80s. Better yet, it was rattle canned pink. My hitch took out one of their headlights and put a small dent in the hood. Turns out the car was owned by a girl I went to high school with and was working at Wendy's. Long story short, she made a big scene after I offered her cash on the spot (several hundred dollars). She turned it into insurance, claimed a bunch of damage that didn't happen and they forked over $1,100 dollars. I saw her out a few months later, car wasn't fixed. I told her if I'd known that was how it was going to turn out I would've run over the car completely. Stay on your toes....

Well I had some time today since I can't go out hunting due to being on call for work. Got these back together, just waiting for everything to cure. After opening them up a second time, I'm not a fan of ebay headlights. But taking a page out of your book KMAC, I've got 2 extra pairs now! One set(recently acquired) have mint lenses. Down the road they'll get retro'd as well.

Why'd you have to open them up?

Is the new set OEM? I definitely like having a full team of backups haha

The passenger side had an intermittent moisture issue that I couldn't pin point. I Hit it with the pressure washer numerous times and it wouldn't leak. But the odd time when it rained I'd have the insides fogging up. So I figured an overhaul was in order. And yes the newest set is oem.

But I've got the lights back in and wired. Just need to figure out a location for the switches. I don't want to cut holes, and would prefer to keep the interior as stock looking as I can.

More pods in the bumper opening! I saw that before I saw your question
