Help, won't start!

I bought a used Edge Evo off a member on here and it arrived yesterday. I went to install the Tow Tune and it comes up with Error F4 and shows my HEX code and another, so I'm assuming it's vin locked. The truck started up after finding this out. I tried downloading the Tow Tune again just to make sure and the same Error came up.

Tonight I went to start the truck and the info center shows Check Gauges and the truck won't turn over, just makes a clicking noise. The headlights come on, radio turns on and the fuel gauge and volt gauge work. I tried throwing it on the battery charger but it didn't make a difference.

Could the Edge of caused a problem?

I disconnected the battery for 15 minutes and it started right up!

It's time for a beer or two now

Maybe it entered some type of safe mode? Hopefully the seller did un-lock it for you.

I'm not sure. I did ask him if it was unlocked and he said it was but it doesn't appear to be. I also tried looking up the error code to see what it was but couldn't find anything on it. I'm going to call tech support and try to figure it out. More than likely I'll get stuck with an unlock fee.

My edge evoht says the moment you plug it in if the programmer is VIN locked or not. It is only 2 weeks old so perhaps they updated that?
