sluggish acceleration from a stop

2006 5.4 V8 with gotts mod. fuel filter and spark plugs are new. just cleaned my maf sensor, k&n air filter, and throttle body. this only happens when I accelerate from a stop, after I get moving it drives normal. I'll push the gas and it feels like the engine isn't getting enough gas or something. it kind of sputters or hesitates then once I get to about 10mph it's normal. it only does it about half the time too. I don't know what's causing it. the fuel filter has about 7,000 miles on it. the spark plugs have less then that. and I cleaned the maf, filter, and throttle body 2 days ago. so what could be causing this loss of power from a stop? and this is a different problem from my previous thread about loss of power, I fixed that already.

I hate to ask, but is it possible you over oiled the filter? I would reclean the MAF since that is so easy and if you have not done so, disconnect the battery for about 30 minutes to reset the PCM.

I knew about the over oiling problem so I tried to be careful but I'll go try that and see if it helps. this problem started before I cleaned the air filter though

I did that when I cleaned the air intake system 2 days ago

I'm going to clean my maf sensor and reset the computer when it quits raining. is there anything else to do if this doesn't work?

my check engine light just came on and it says I'm running rich in bank 1 and 2. could this be causing this acceleration problem? I'm 3 hours into a 12 hour drive now and it's driving normally at highway speed. what do I do about these codes? they don't say anything about an O2 sensor. they just say running rich

May be a leaking injector

p0172, p0175, p0581, p2196, p2198. it's throwing all those codes right now. they're all related to running rich except p0581, that's something to do with cruise control. I don't know what's going on. the cruise works and it's driving normally on the interstate

can anybody tell me what could be causing all these rich codes? I'm assuming all the codes are being caused by a single problem since they're all saying its running rich

Leaking injector will do it. Two will do it faster.

You can pull a fuel rail with the injectors and place a cloth under it. Turn the key on and if one is leaking, you shoulde be able to spot it as gas will drip out. Easy to replace.
