Hope yours doesnt end up the few I've seen. Driver "Bob" here was pulled over at a DOT inspection station on I-10 in North Florida (my jurisdiction). The officer told him he had an out headlight (PnP HIDs at their finest). So he tried playing with it. A minute later, 25,000V from an eBay chinese ballast making a short on piece of metal set something on fire. This was the end result:

I'm in this picture, but I'm not saying which one

Yes, that is a flammable sulfur resin in the trailer behind him. Luckily we got there in time. Driver was cited for equipment violation.

Have fun with that $65 kit

i did epoxy them the second time, i didnt the first time because i was under the impression they were sufficient. i had the first run of them i guess because they never did work right and i got tired of taking my headlights apart and having down time.

on a side note, i will be installing three $35 xentec PnP kits this weekend to add to the problem. lmao all for 90s model chevys, one is 5k, one is 12K, and the other kit has green bulbs.. haha

Hey Raptor!..the 'jackwagon' here..keep watch of the papers for a 2007 F-150 burned-up like in the picture. Looking at the 'kit' the OP purchased, it looks like it is powered directly from the bulb pigtail. That being the case, the puny little stock wiring will be lucky to handle that load and will probably start blowing fuses (if he is lucky). Then he might put in a larger fuse and then we start to melt and burn the wiring harness up. We can only wait and see. (I truly hope not for his sake..I'm not a mean person). Not impressed with that set-up at all. I believe the 60 some dollars should have gone towards a better kit with a proper Harness/relay setup if he insists on going this route.

BTW '88' I think the squirrels will be safe at this point.

I'm using a relay to the battery for power, so there will not be any problems because they will draw the power from there.

As long as you are using a wiring harness with the relays from the Batt. you are golden.
