[QUOTE=sam1947;4702019]Well, guess what...get ready to pay 10 times at least for a lawsuit (not if,but when) you force someone off the road and hurt or kill someone with your "COOL" blinding lights. If you don't want to listen to reason or sensible logic that has been given to you here I wish you luck.[/QUOTE

Let me know when you catch that article in the papers. Get off your soap box you jackwagon. I asked whick ones to buy I didn't ask you if I was going to kill anyone, hell I guess I should just get off the road altogether and get a bicycle. Wonder if the blinking light on the front of my bike I need to use to be seen will cause you to wreck????? I guess my exhaust could cause someone to wreck too! If you don't like them then don't comment on the post. If I want a poll I will put one up. Not at just you sam1947 but to all the ones who don't like them.

The point is not that we don't like them, we have learned that they are dangerous for the safety of others on the road at night. Most of the members that have responded to you run HID's themselves, me included, difference is, some of us are more responsible and do things the right way by doing the projector retrofit. Name calling within these forums is, by the way, not tolerated. Enough said !!!

Jackwagon is such a bad name, oh well man. I'm getting HID's one way or the other. Not dropping 400 or more dollars on any retro's. Have a good day Sir!

wow. lol people these days amaze me. at first, anything but 5-6 K hids was ricer. now, anything but stock or a retrofit is ricer. lol you guys need to realize the world isnt perfect, even hid projectors are not perfect. every escalade i have seen coming down the road has had enormous amounts of glare "focused" straight into windshields.

yes hids in stock housings cause glare, but honestly if you're stupid enough to stare into headlights long enough to blind you then i believe that is darwinism taking effect. people are going to run hids, just like people are going to steal. face it, the world is not perfect.

i run PnP hids because my mini h1's had problems after problems until i finally just gave up on them, so i can feel satisfied that i did try and ended up wasting 300 dollars plus trashing my headlights. i think my 5k PnP kits work perfectly and i never get flashed, nor do i see my lights blasting windshields.

LOL. At first you ran PnP, talked them up like they were the s**t. Then you found out about retrofits, talked them up big and talked trash about PnPs because you realized the truth. Now you are back to PnPs and how they are the end all...what gives? Bandwagon much?

If you can't figure out even a simple retrofit and trashed your own headlights, stick to the factory lights.

Very true. Which is the better price?

Your lights can kill. They will not physically force someone off the road, but you will blind them enough to where they may not see something(or worse, someone) in the road or could even blind them to where they can't see the bend in the road and drive off of it...
As for exhaust, I doubt it. Maybe rattle a few windows, and wake people up at night. But its not going to blind them.

HA. compared to a good set of projectors, such as yours, PnP's are trash. for me the problems first started with the shield not coming back up so i had to take them apart to fix it, then the shrouds fell off(my fault for trusting the shroud centric rings) so that was another problem, then the cut off shield eventually started this deal where they came up but not all the way causing a distorted cut off line. my part on the retrofit was near perfect as far as alignment, wiring, adjusting the bulbs to get a perfect hot spot, sealing headlights up good, etc. it was just the projectors that never seemed to cooperate.

as far as hids go, PnP is a world easier and works flawlessly so that is a "end all" for ME. and bandwagon? i'm sure the bandwagon is the almighty projector now?

Which version of the MiniH1 did you use? the Older versions had issues with the shield sticking, try their newest offering (v4 I believe). Also, the shroud must be epoxy'd on. The projector gets hot and those rings will loosen up causing your shrouds to fall off like yours did.
