The funny part about putting HIDs in stock reflectors and "aiming them down" is you are a) reducing the distance of lighting down the road and b) intensifying the foreground lighting which is known to dilate your pupils so you don't focus as well. You are reducing the amount of visible road, its counterproductive. Blue glare doesn't = brightness, it just appears bright because ever street sign is lit up from your reflectors sending light to the stratosphere and NOT on the road. I've used them all... Retrofit > silverstars > PnP HIDs.

Good thing I don't have to worry about that, I don't live in England.

You also chose the end of the light spectrum which is less visible to the human eye. Yeah, "you can see so much more". Lrn 2 Science. The reason every OEM auto w/HIDs uses 4300K-5000K is because this is the area of the color spectrum that most closely simulates the sun, which is what the human eye is optimized to see. Going further towards the blue/violet end of the spectrum (aka 8000K+) is causing you to physically see less than you did before. You would have been better off with the stock lights. The fact that you have been flashed twice is proof that you are blinding people, even with the headlights aimed down.

I like my HID's, imo they are better than the stock bulbs. Who cares what "science" says. My lights are not aimed down enough to where i cant see a good distance in front of me. As far as blinding people go, if they dont like it, they can drive behind me. I have my truck lifted 8" and i still get blinded by people with stock lights that are aimed way up, do they care, no, so why should i. The OP was asking about cheap kits, i gave my opinion on them, end of story. He is not asking for a lecture on how they "put out less light" and "how they blind people".

That's what I have been thinking, opinion are like A** Holes, everyone has one. I am not real worried about blinding anyone, I have been blinded by cars with the factory HID. I had the kit before that I bought off someone on here, they messed up and am looking for another kit.

I would go with a ddm kit. If i had to do it again, i would buy the 6000k kit. It would be more white. Mine is white with just a hint of blue, but it still looks good.

It would be hard to drive behind you if they are going the opposite direction...

As for the OP, If you feel like putting cheap HID bulbs in your nice truck. Go for it. I Hope you don't blind someone so much that they were to have an accident.

I guess ya'll are going for the ricer look. Might get a fart can to put on there too. Make it all match up.

Rant off....

Yup, they're just a couple of high school ricer fanboys who think they know everything and have no regard for others on the road. Man, they sure are cool . . .

Well, guess what...get ready to pay 10 times at least for a lawsuit (not if,but when) you force someone off the road and hurt or kill someone with your "COOL" blinding lights. If you don't want to listen to reason or sensible logic that has been given to you here I wish you luck.
