car seat pic request

well i did some searching and it seems car seats or/or baby seats fit in the 04-08 scabs ok but in all the older threads the pics have been removed.

Does anyone have some pics of car seats in the back of an 04-08 scab?? Me and the wife are talking kids and this is something that came up.
Thanks guys and gals

When I bought my truck I had 1 kid already and plans for another on the way. I didn't originally want a Screw so I was looking into Scabs. The seat would fit fine forwards or backwards but I was turned away from the third door thing. You will be fine and good luck with the kids.

I have two car seats in the back of mine. They fit but are a pain b/c of the clamshell doors and getting the kids in when in a parking lot as there is no room to open both doors. The other issue is leg room. I can only put a seat in the middle and pass side b/c i need my seat all the way back to drive and then I need to have the front pass seat moved fwd to give my son room in the back. ill upload a pic tomorrow of my setup. In my opinion, get a screw. I will be trading mine in soon for this reason. I love my scab but I need the bigger back seat more than the 6.5 bed now.

You want pics of a child seat in F-150 Scab?

Here's ours in our '07 FX4 Scab.

It stays in the truck, the base being built to fit and the ramp is well padded and covered in a matching grey towel to aid traction when "loading". I have another in the Forester that is maybe even a hair taller base that stays in there ..... and then there is a third "Abby Seat" with a shorter base that get's used in the '01 Merc GM or either the '92 or '05 T-Bird. In all cases, I added a full center seat belt from Advance Auto Parts bolted with the stock seat belt bolts.

Didn't cost a lot, we've had her since 2001 and I just added / built the bases and added belts as we aquired the cars. It started with the Merc and the shorter version back in 2002 or 2003 after I worked a wreck where a family's dog was thrown against a dash board and broke it's neck in a very minor crash.

And here's her seat on the GL1200 with my extra carry box out back, this is "max load travel mode".

Here's a pic taken on a different trip on the Trike this time.

Best I could do!

We have three abreast. Notice the infant seat in the far position in this pic. Just moved her to forward facing yesterday actually.

Three fits fine. Four: you better think about trailering the kids around. LOL

edit: Just noticed, you can tell how old the pic is by the low gas prices!

I have SCAB and 3 kids fit fine. One booster, one car seat and one just in a seat belt. If you do the rear facing the middle spot is the best. Front facing works in any spot. Sorry don't have a pic right now. I actually bought this truck because it had space for 3.

Now if you want to convince your wife you need a new truck, we can make pics of them not fitting I normally put my daughter in the middle in the back. That way if she needs something the wife or I can get it for her. She is almost 2 I'll probably move her to the outside when shes a bit older and can climb in easy by herself. She can get in now but I'm always scared she's gonna fall so I still help her in.
