My truck was built June 2003 (2004-08 style) at the Norfolk plant and it is affected. I made an appointment for 9am tomorrow morning to have it fixed.

Well that stinks. I just checked mine, an 04 with Sept. 04 build date in Kansas City and it needs the recall. I think I will swing out there on Fri. to see if they can get it fixed. I really don't feel like leaving my Whippled truck for someone to test drive.

Go here http://www.ford.com/ownership/ click on "notices & recalls" and type in your VIN #. It will let you know; and if you are a winner you can schedule your truck for the fix right there online too.
I just scheduled mine. (make sure to read the options when scheduling) They tried to sneak and oil change into it that I had to uncheck. lol I just change my oil last month.
Not correct. That's info from the old recall.

The wider recall, announced Thursday by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, covers all F-150s built for the 2004 and 2005 model years, as well as part of the 2006 model year. Also included are 16,000 2006 Lincoln LT pickups.
So it looks like all 2004 and 2005 F150's are being recalled, and some 2006's.

I just looked up a 07/2005 and it says the recall needs done. My guess it's the entire 2005 year.
