My Baby got towed today

So........... I love my Fords but today she got a ride to the garage. She's a 04 f150, 4.6l ,92k on her. Has always run and started great until today when I came around a flooded corner and she got wet and stalled. After many tries I did manage to get it started for a little while after spraying a can of WD40 around, but it ran very rough with very little power. then a couple of miles down the road it wouldn't run at all. It's like it's starving for fuel. any thoughts would be appericated!

Could be a bad FPDM, fuel pump driver module. If it's corroded (common problem up north) getting it wet may have shorted it out.

Yep its the fuel module. Drop the spare, if its corroded and broke in half looking, thats your issue. Had the same problem last August every time I washed the truck or drove in rain when I went to start it again it wasn't happening.

mine did something similar... there was a huge puddle going into my work parking lot.. it parked fine and then shut her down later that day i got a no start and i couldnt hear the fuel pump priming.. so off to the dealer it went. they said it was the fuel pump. idk if they count it as the same as the fuel pump driver... but it was fixed under esp warranty.

I have saved tremendously by subscribing to forums for my bikes and cars.

Christmas I took a trip to Georgia dn back, got home, read a thread about Fuel Puimp Driver Modules .... and took a look at mine next day .... and I'm glad I did !
