Bed Bounce Solution?
#61
Just another update. i've driven the truck for a few weeks and this kit definitely made a big difference. Under the most perfect circumstances I can visually detect a slight bouncing, but if I wasn't looking for it I wouldn't notice it. This is a very clear improvement, my bed bounce used to be so bad it would shake the cab

I ordered it online, I think I found one on ebay.
Here's what I had in the kit: https://www.f150online.com/forums/20...ml#post5154112

Oh dear me ... ... that's just effin great!
Now I feel like I should be sleeping under the truck with a shot gun in hand.
If I was wanting to try it, I'ld be scouring a junk yard. I'ld say a Styleside wrecked would be easiest to get it out from under. No hitch or spare would make it even easier.
Here's FORD 6L3Z-5D008-B DAMPER ASY (Package of 1) for $129.92 fits 06-08 according to the link above. The one for the 04-05 is 4L3Z-5D008-AA, I didn't see it.

Speaking of "the weight" .... I not too long ago rode with a buddy for a while in his truck, I felt a bounce in the seat, started watching the mirror and sure enough, his had a bounce. When we were stopped I took a peak underneath at the rear, no weights?

@k_h : I see where you installed a sway bar to eliminate bed bounce. Was your situation the same as @agood1 had? I am having that same issue he did (bed jiggle on any riding surface that isn't completely smooth and at any speed. Even riding over tar lines where the road has been crack-sealed will cause the bed to vibrate. I can raise the tailgate up and drop it and it makes the bed shake up near the cab like it's not bolted down at all. All bolts have been checked and are tight. Hoping your issue was the same as this and that a sway bar in fact fixed the issue.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Thanks!
