FYI - The Wagner ThermoQuiets have a mail in rebate right now. I bought 2 sets (front and rear) of TQ for my 06 at Rockauto for $68.17 shipped. Wagner has a $30.00 mail in rebate that is good until the end of Sept. 2011.

Can't beat TQ Semis for $38.17.

Yesterday I installed a new battery since the factory was almost dead. Sears DieHard Platinum group 65. I didn't realize how drained the factory battery had become. My truck starts so much faster now. 930 CCA helps too!!!

Drove it home. Nice smooth quiet running pickup again!
Is that $1200 per cam phaser or $1200 total?

I tried putting in my new black painted aftermarket headlights. Didn't go good. Bulbs wouldn't fit. After seeing where the problem was I needed my dremel and cut off wheel. So I taped all bulb openings and stuffed rags around the big reflector housing. After trimming a ton of dust got in the headlights. Crap!

So I baked them apart to clean with the air compressor. Now I need to figure out what Sealant to use. The sealant that was on there was black and pliable. When the sealant was hot it is really gooey, but stiffen as it cools. It looks like "Right Stuff" gasket silicone. Gonna pick some up today and compare it to the sealant in the trash can.

Replaced my passenger mirror after busting it out during lunch at the local Sonic...(shaking head, wondering how that happened).

It didn't make me happy, nor feel very smart.

Tonight I replaced my drivers door master window switch that has been getting worse and worse over the last couple months with both front windows not wanting to roll up after they go down - works like new again. Cleaned it up inside and out real good and finally threw on some new Michelin wiper blades. Gettin that time of year..

Today I washed it. However, over the weekend I installed two 100 watt lights behind the grille.

Finally installed a backup camera to go with the double din I've had for over a year.

Also, after a week of struggle, I finished up installing obx long tube headers. Put the resonators in today and went for a little drive. Me and my roommate couldn't help but smile when I punched it. Had to keep it pretty tame though, didn't want a noise violation ticket.

Replaced the fuel filter in my 2006 F150 and my wife's 2004 Expedition.

Perhaps the Expedition engineers need to talk to the F150 engineers. The Expedition's fuel filter has nice buttons that requires NO tools. Hers took all of 5 mins to replace.
