Dropped it at the dealership this morning and they put a new 750CCA Motorcraft battery on her, as well as replaced a power steering hose that was leaking, and replaced the leaky rack and pinion up front.

Fixed my hvac controls being stuck in panel and not moving to defrost. Checked the mode door first, that was fine. Opened up the dash and removed the plastic pins holding on the front of the hvac system. It just wouldn't come out so I ended up cutting a hole in it. Sure enough it was a piece of foam preventing the doors from moving. All works fine now.

Yeah, I could have done something better than using duct tape to seal the opening, but if it doesn't hold, it's easy to get to.

Took about 45 mins and cost $0.

That way is a lot easier. I took my whole dash apart and most of the center console. If that tape doesn't work you could try putting the piece you cut out and use RTV around it.

Pulled the battery on mine today as well -- died even with the battery tender hooked up to it which kind of surprised me. Heading to the dealer to get a new one in the morning -- don't necessarily love the Motorcraft units but since it is such a low-mileage truck I'd prefer to keep it all OEM.....

Eleven years of service is still pretty impressive though! I feel our OEM batteries are pathetic. At least the one in my truck was, it wasn't even 700cca. I put a $170 Interstate 850cca in it and intend to take it out and put it in my future truck if that happens shortly. No way am I letting that go .

Did a little tire shread with the truck's OE wheels and old tires.

De-modified my truck, should be selling it to a friend this week for $10,000. Giving him the exhaust manifold and hardware, spark plugs & lisle tool, and offered to help him with the work. He also has seen my above video . Here some compare pics of how my truck was, to how it is currently.

I sold it yesterday to my friend for $10,000. Was a little hard to let go, but just like last time I could do it. So I am officially Ford-less until Friday.
