Took her out and got her a little dirty.

Yup, she's not a street queen!

Started it up for the first time in a month or longer and took it for a drive to keep things 'activated'. Currently sitting at 124,414 miles. I have some concerns about letting it sit over the next couple months this winter. It stays in my non-heated garage on concrete floor. I inflate the tires to 50 psi, remove the battery, and have rat bait and moth ***** under it. Otherwise, I don't keep the tank full cause I tend to start it monthly. Any small tips for staying parked a month at a time? Think taking the wipers off bringing them inside is going too far? Should I keep the tank full anyway?

I plan to insulate the garage this summer and get a heater in there ( tapped to the house's gas line ). Keep it a decent 60 degrees or so.

I'd keep the tank full if you can. otherwise you're doing pretty damn good if she'll be started each month

Have you thought about putting it on stands? Keep the flat spots out of the tires?

I actually did think of it, but that's why I do the high psi inflation. There was no flat spot bounce today after sitting a month. So I may keep doing this.

Well that's not too bad then. I'd keep going with that. Less of a hassle in the end.

Looked at new trucks a while back and decided I liked my '05 better than anything I saw, especially for the price, lol. So I put new shoes on, Cooper AT3s, and for Christmas a Westin HDX Grille Guard. Feels and looks like a new truck now, ready for the winter.

My truck has never even been driven in the rain -- if anything like that happened to my baby I think I'd start crying......

Why not just keep the tank full? It doesn't hurt anything and you can spare the $20-40 to fill it up haha. What good does taking the wipers off do?

And would it kill to just drive it to work once a week? You and keeping it sparkling clean

Clean up sucks big time . . . 2 of the 3 times mine has been in "mud" that required major uncarriage clean up have been mostly accidental haha.
