Oh, and I installed a DieHard Gold 425 watt power inverter into my cavernous center console for when the lil' woman and I go camping, we can pump up our air mattress

It's a Bakflip VP, and yes, your dog could walk around on it. They claim it will support 300 lbs. of "evenly distributed" weight.

Replaced all 8 COPs today. #4 was a pain to get in/out, but the rest were easy.

Gassed it up, drove it to work, and nearly got wiped out by a dumb SOB in an 18 wheeler that didn't bother signalling, or even looking for a lane change, I was pinned between his trailer and a cement wall... Blowing the horn at the idiot wasn't going to get his attention either...

Have you had a chance to see if the VP Tonneau is water tight yet? Looks good! How hard is it to remove?

Finally added some tow mirrors! Scored a pair of the aftermarket OEM knock-offs. Really nice for 229 and free shipping. That dome light black wire with the blue strip is very elusive! (my 05 didn't have a wire for the pubble lights).

Thumbs up

Actually, did this all Saturday but due to company coming, forgot to post it ....
  • I cleaned the floor mats and dressed the leather seats and dusted well,
  • and then washed my truck real good,
  • and then broke out my brand new Santa Gift that haven't used before, Porter Cable DA buffer and polished her up reall good with Meguiars ultra polish (love that machine!),
  • and then I pulled the clear static cling covers off the RW&B Flag motiff "FX4 off road" stickers on the bed sides (didn't need polishing under the clear),
  • and then I waxed it with Mequiars including inside all door jambs,
  • and then went over all the black and grey parts and the UC bedcover with Liquid Ice,
  • and then slicked up the tires real good with Tire Wet,
  • and then I cleaned all the windows inside and out,
  • and lastly, I reapplied the clear static cling covers over the RW&B Flag motiff "FX4 off road" stickers on the bed sides (so cloths don't catch the pointy tips of the letters).
She looks good!
