Just finished changing the plugs on my 4.6L. Good God (4 hours)! I am SO glad I don't have the 5.4L after that ordeal. Should be good for another 6-7 years at my mileage rate anyway.

I miss my old '73 Chevy 350, '92 F-150 300 I-6 when I'm under the hood!

Just need to recover from Christmas shopping so I can get my front R9000s now.

It took you 4hrs to change 4.6L plugs? Shouldn't have taken more than a half hour since those ones do not break.

Headers

I have a set of headers on my '04. My luck, the drivers side has a crack or small hole where the four tubes are welded together. I've been really busy and have run it that way for about two years now with all intention of replacing it. At first look, doesn't look to bad to swap out so I made a valid attempt this afternoon. Not too lucky, need to take a lot more things off that I originally thought. I just put it back together and hopefully have a couple day's that I can leave it in to get it done. The one question I have is how does the dip stick tube come out. Looks like a vice grip and hammer to pop it up. Am I thinking right or is there a correct way to do it?

If you can do them in half an hour, you're a freaking magician. I couldn't do my 300 I-6 that fast.

That would be cool. I believe mine is 5 foot 3 or something close to there. I'll check again later. Weather here to.

Me and my bud changed his '04 5.4Ls plugs in an hour. Including taking the COPs off. We filled the plugs with carb cleaner and broke them out TBS style, only to find out we pulled out plugs that were changed in 2009. So that is why I am basing it off on just breaking them lose and re-installed. An Impact wrench method without breaking a plug would go by even faster.

My hat's off to you and your bud. I must just be old and slow.

You could do a good business with your speed... a rolling spark plug changing service.

No need for any of that, surely not in it for the business. Just tons of reading ahead of time and watching Youtube videos of plug changes, learning what tools are needed, guess its a speed builder.

Just ordered a Kenwood DDX370 head unit and two pairs of Kenwood KFC-C6894PS speakers for $360 from Crutchfield. Hopefully I don't get ripped off because whenever I order something off the internet for my truck I get screwed over. Glossy pillars didn't fit nor did those headlights I order last Christmas stay sealed. Hopefully my Christmas present won't be a disappointment. Merry Christmas to all!

Santa delivered the Air Raid cold air tube. Going to wait until the truck gets done at the transmission shop to install it.

You won't be disappointed as far as those items working and fitting; Crutchfield is the best, period. I have a DDX319, which they stopped making a little bit ago. I had an issue with it having a hiccup, and Crutchfield sent me a new one that got to me in 3 days.

Installed the rigid 20221 driving lights on both my truck and the fathers. Haven't got pictures of mine as I need to change the way I've got them mounted. They are small but holy crap do they throw light.
Here's the fathers 06 mklt.

Do you recommend installing the head unit first or the speakers? I'm thinking head unit but seeing that you have been around the block before I'd like your input. What was your issue to? Just curious. Helped a friend put in Kenwood speakers that are identical to mine so it shouldn't take me forever but I doubt it. Hate wiring.
