Finally got my Siege Engineering Kong II train horns working last week and also mounted the 50" LED light bar. But will be changing the light bar mounts to another kind. It's a bit flimsy when driving over 50+ mph.

Horns placed in front of the passenger side rear wheel. The only space available and enough space for 3 horns.

I've been busy with Craigslist. Found a set of Bridgestone Blizzak snow tires cheap for my car, $100 for a set of 4. 50% and 75% tread life. Looks like winter will be much safer this year in the car. And a set of the OEM step bars I have been wanting for 2yrs or so for cheap! Previous owner was OCD like me, they are used but look fantastic! Very happy. Bolted them up tonight, I love them. They look just like I visioned, perfect! My original ones were more useful as they were wider, but looked bulky and awkward. My old ones will be up for sale soon.

I took this photo in the parking lot waiting for him to show up.

I'm going to be trying the spark plugs soon because my misfire is getting a lot worse.

Darren, love the step bars. I have those on mine, and the previous owner didn't keep them up to par. I've been thinking of refinishing them.

Finally wired the topper in on my truck. Still not 100% on it though. It's nice having it, especially with the bedrug. But I do like my truck without it. Hard to say whether I'll keep it on. Probably just for the winter, then I'll fire the tonneau back on.

On a side note, I was followed across town last night by a Chevy Cruz. He had a hard time keeping up to me(I was kind of shocked at how slow he was). Pulled up to a pub to meet some buddies, and he pulls up beside me and hands me a flyer for some local car club that I've never heard of. Told me "mr. Loud f150, we don't discriminate against trucks." I thought it was odd, and I won't be showing up to their meets.

Flyer in question...

Yeah, it was pretty creepy. Mostly because I wasn't taking the most obvious route from point a to b.

I'd have to drive by, both when a meet isn't going on, and then when there is. I'd be way to curious to see if it were real. However, I don't want to end up robbed with someone else wearing my face, so . . .

I'll be honest, if I was handed that flyer I would fully expect to arrive and see at least one van with "free candy" rattled canned on the side.

KMAC, Llama, I think I'm going to drive by with my brother and dad. Both have 08' 6.4's with the dpf's deleted. We'll just roll coal on them. Haha. It was very odd though. I tried checking them out on Facebook, but they don't actually have a group on there.

Just goes to show you how legit these guys are.

So I'm getting less impressed with my plasti dipped wheels. I'm looking at rims, although none have overly jumped out at me. I'm going to be waiting a few months, as I'm in school till the end of October. Last time, and will be a papered or journeyman heavy equipment technician. I believe you lot south of the border call it diesel mechanic. So it'll be a bit of a congratulatory thing to me from me.

What rims are you guys running and/or like? Not to copy or anything. Just interested to see what looks good.

Well pre-congrats, Baticus!

South of the border for us is Mexico

I like black and machined wheels, which I think will go well with your silver paint. Obviously I like Fuel. But Pro Comp and Eagle Alloy have some good looking wheels that are less common, which is nice.

I do like the fuel rims. And I can get a pretty good price through a supplier at work. We really only deal with this supplier for our personal vehicles. I should take another look at the fuel site.

The black/machined look would be good. All black is really played out around here. I really like the xd monsters, but they are very common here.

Edit: if I were to get the fuels, the mav's probably look the best. Great choice KMAC.
