Last week lost the key to the girlfriend's Ram 1500, let her drive my truck for a week until we got another one cut.
Washed and dried it yesterday, garaged it. This Wednesday, the truck goes in for ball joints, finally gets its Nittos put on, alignment, and inspection. Big day!
Took this pic today and captioned it, "What does the Ford say? It says "Haha b****es hows the cold out there??"

Surprised you let your girlfriend drive your real girlfriend. I wouldn't have dared let any of mine touch my truck!

Believe me, it was rough, she throws the doors wide open without looking. I'm hesitant to trust her with it alone. She has opened my Cavalier door into my truck twice. The second time I said "Are you f@$%ing serious!!" She felt the nerve to be pissed off at me Originally Posted by KMAC0694

. She's an excellent driver though, and I was obligated since I was the one that lost the key to her low mpg rust bucket

Similar things have happened to me and I'm just like "I said that rightfully and I'm not sorry dammit!"
What were you doing with the Dooodge's key in the first place?
I would've just given her the cavalier and cheered your truck up by taking it to work for the week!Dropping truck off today to get long over due work done. Moog lower ball joints, Moog UCAs, the 295/60-20s, factory TPMS sensors & bands, alignment, and an inspection. Never had the dealer inspect my truck, hopefully they won't give hassle for the smoked taillights. But just to see it on the new tires has me as exited as a little boy under the Christmas tree on Christmas Eve!
My car is a 5spd manual so she won't even attempt it

Just examining a Chrysler problem, she claimed it made a rattle/knocking sound when accelerated/started. Sounds like an exhaust heat shield to me, so I took it for a drive and couldn't get it to do it. After I got back is when it just vanished from my hand. Crazy stuff, I'm never that careless lol.Originally Posted by KMAC0694

Ahh I figured there had to be hitch with the Cavy! Good luck on that inspection between your windows (these prevent more people from passing around here) and tails. I've got the windows and lack of cats, so I need a "buddy" to do it

I bet it was tough letting your girlfriend drive your truck for a week. Before I got my license, my mom drove my truck for a few months while her Yukon was down and I kept telling her to please be extra careful and to park at the back of parking lots. She is a great driver, but I don't like the idea of something happening to my truck with someone else driving, even if it wasn't their fault.

Thanks man I hope there isn't any issues. My regular guy never cares about windows, but he's skeptical on tails. I usually throw the OEMs on for him to inspect with no BS.Originally Posted by KMAC0694

Yeah its that thing where if something is going to happen, you would rather be the one that last drove it so the damage is softened mentally where if someone else drove it you may think they are more at fault for the door ding or whatever, same feeling here. Just the other day my girlfriend said when she got to work a coworker female parked next to her and opened her door into her Dodge! Glad it wasn't my truck, her truck has black plastic trimming on the door which saved it from a nick.Originally Posted by atr04screw

BTW, I still want your OEM step bars badly, sure you don't want to swap for some 5" wide OEMs??

I have though about taking them of before, just haven't ever gotten around to it. I might take them off over my Christmas break and see how I like it without them. Although if I did part with them I would be more inclined to sell rather than trade.Senior Member

Remanned motor and a Vortech supercharger. I know not as ideal as twin screw but picked it up from a buddy for $2k in perfect shape with only 15k miles on it. Should be plenty for what I need Originally Posted by KMAC0694

Changed the oil on the 5.4 and replaced the window regulators in the front and passenger doors. Finally I can roll my window down without worrying if it'll go back up again!

Very nice! That Vortech will still add plenty to it. And a $2k Vortech beats any full priced other one! How many miles are on the truck? You make me feel better about how much money I have dumped and continue to dump into my 06 Originally Posted by radelow

But I got the truck for free from a contractor of mine. It is in perfect shape and most everything was serviced/replaced before I got it. The alternative I was looking at was buying a Raptor but I spend a lot of time in Baja and frankly I don't want a truck that sticks out like that... With everything I have done I am still into it for less than what I could sell everything for....barely
