There's still a chance of that happening.

Doesn't look too great to me. Have you thought about possibly putting them on the roof so it doesn't hinder with your visibility? Or possibly expanding the one in the back?

This mod is dangerous, not to mention it looks ridiculous.
it's called showing some respect to someone who has earned it.

Reminds me of the city busses. They have their bike racks in the front.

Cool idea. You can only fit 2 bikes in the bed?

hey man if you like it then go for it. if you need/want to store your bikes like that then do it. i have never thought about something like that but it is a good idea, would be kinda cool if you fabbed up a new mount that sits a little lower so as not to be as high maybe.

It is extremely difficult and time consuming to load bikes on the roof. I did that once, and will not do it again.

In a 5.5' SuperCrew I have to turn the front wheels, and your not going to put the tail gate down with a bike rack on the back.

Greencrew the WI state troopers are going to love you if you drive with that out there. They don't let anything go.

You're obstructing the front plate, blocking your head lights, and sticking way up past the top of your hood.

Also, the comment about it being no worse than a plow is wrong. If the plow on a truck was ever up that high it was broken.

Ehhh.... haha props for coming up with a way to carry them on the front however, if i was going to try and carry 10 bikes at a time while being able to utilize the bed for gear storage i would have come up with some way to carry them on the sides of the bed above the bed rails, something like a ladder rack

Did this quick on paint with a pic of my truck

There may be enough ingenuity here for engineers like MarkY, but I don't think it'll rate high in practicality.

Took a bike ride with friends today, so I had three bikes on the front. Along the way I passed three local police cars, one I made eye contact with and he smiled and waved. But I hear ya man, about the troopers.

They are nice bikes, we love them. We rode a steel Schwinn for a good twenty years. We could use more black top paved trails in WI though.

Personally it's creative. Never really thought of that. But I would never be hauling 10 Bikes. Or if I was I would either rent a $10 Uhaul trailer or buy a used one to tow with so I have more space and the bikes are enclosed to block from getting dirty. Also if I made something up like that I would use it. You don't see that everyday. And as one said earlier if you can only hold 4-5 people why would you need to carry 10 bikes?

Two reasons. first, once a year we take a family trip from Elroy to Sparta. It's a fun ride that goes through three tunnels. We meet up with anyone from my wife's family in Elroy and ride to Sparta. We bring an extra driver or two to drive my truck to Sparta and wait for us. If there are more riders and two drivers they will take my truck and another car or minivan. We load the bikes on my truck, and return to Elroy. Some times I'll haul bikes for other family members who drive in their own car.

Second, a four bike rack is not really the best way to haul four bikes. It can be done, but it does not work well. If I have four bikes to load, I'll put three on the bike rack and one in the truck bed. It's just easier. If you do a lot of biking, it makes a difference, and we get out weekly. When we bike with friends, it is easier to take two vehicles than to load four bikes on to one bike rack. Most of the time we will take two vehicles and meet at the trial, but now if we driver farther to get to a trail we have options of taking one vehicle with easy loading. The only down side is the question of whose bikes go in the front facing the risk of stones chipping the paint.

The view from inside the cab.

Parking can be a challenge, but not if you like to park far away from the store.
