So these products are for the rubber trim or the plastic? Nobody has said exactly.

Mostly plastic, the wiper cowl, molding around the bed around the mirrors, etc.

I find it best to clean the rubber seal trim with your paint polish and a foam pad ( that you dont mind trashing after wards ). My rubber trim is dark and very slick and smooth, and wont be cracking anytime soon due to dryness

I learned that by accident, was repairing some swirls on glass and i went over and hit the seal, was pretty impressed with how much nicer it looked with the accidentally hit spot, so i did the whole seal, then the entire truck, much better and smoother.

^^^^ Looks good.

You need to paint your wiper arms, and put your license registration sticker above the inspection sticker next time, that's where it's supposed to go.

Thanks, I have been thinking about painting my wiper arms also. As for the registration sticker, actually in Texas you can put it on the side or on top. Look at your registration sheet the next time you get your tags.

I'm all for that. What did you do to prepare the trim pieces? Anything?

I bought mine from a local hardware store. But Wal-Mart has it as well. I only used the Krylon Fusion no clear.

All I did was take them off and clean them very well with Simple Green and then wiped them down with alcohol.

Here is a link by Tardman91 on how do remove and paint them.

I've heard RV dealers sell 303 but you can order direct from their website like I did. Stuff goes a long ways. It really works good on tires if you don't want a gloss shine.
