Painted the fender splash guards....

Here's a pic up close.
I may go a little more to get a gloss look, not sure yet.

Krylon fusion gloss black.
And I removed them from the truck, somewhat of a pain but best way to get it done.

I used to use Back to Black as well. It is a bit streaky and you need to keep it off the paint.

I was a bit disappointed to see on my 06 Screw that Ford has not made any improvements at all in regards to black trim since my 1980 Mustang. In fact, my 06 may be worse as it's only 3 years old and the cowl is already badly faded.

Could be worse though, Avalanches fade just as bad and they have a lot more plastic. Those guys use GatorBack to restore it, looks like a good product and I would think it would work for our trim as well. Lots of good reviews on the Avalanche forums, but they seem to recommend professional application.

can you by the cowl anywhere else than the dealer?, My 05-f-150 Lariat is beyound painting. Matter of a fact the two end pieces are missing.

Ebaymaybe, I would suggest the Street sceene wiper cowl. Google it and it's like $150ish
