I Ate A Volvo XC90 Today

This guy rear-ended me at 35mph while I was stopped at a light. I had my Wife and my 8 week old baby girl in the truck. Everyone is ok, me and the wife have a minor case of whiplash but the truck didn't show a scratch. Take a look at his plate, my hitch cut a perfect square out of it... The volvo had to be towed he destroyed the radiator. HA... The truck protected everything I love, the truck has fully paid for itself...
The only thing on my truck was a piece of melted volvo on my exhaust tip, you can see the circle on his bumper.

sucks...what is going on around here? Oahu has been rear-end city lately. I got nailed 3 weeks back in my Durango by a Prius. $2,800 in damages to my vehicle alone, over $10,000 in his.

Glad everybody is okay. I spent 4 hours in Tripler when mine happened. Had to get the wife, 5yr old and the 4 month old twins checked out.

where are you located? I'm down on Ford Island.

btw, that perfect square on his bumper is awesome

Sucks you got rearended and glad to hear everyones okay, but that Volvo looks a hell of alot better than the Toyota that got pushed into the rear of my truck by a Honda 2 years ago. Both the Toyota and the Honda were totaled and my truck didn't even look like it was hit. About $1200 worth of damage done to mine, exhaust was pushed under and bumper got twisted by like an 1/8th of an inch. I was able to drive away while the other two had te be towed. Turns out the woman in the Honda was on her cellphone at the time and wasn't paying attention. Figures.

Was she between the seats in the middle or to the side? See I have to place my son's seat between the two front seats and they didn't put any of those secure little metal tabs in the middle section of the back seat of a supercab. I have to use the middle seat belt and I just dont feel like its that secure. The supercab is horrible for carrying a baby, if for whatever reason he has to be situated to the side of the middle the person in front seat practically sits on the dash.

Good to hear baby and mom is okay!

The baby was in the latched in the middle of the rear. Took 4 hours to get through Trippler (hospital), but all is well, bit sore this morning but all is good.

I live behind the NEX in moanalua Terrace but work at ATG on Ford Island.

Good to hear everyone was ok. These trucks are some of the safest on the road in my opinion.
