Just payed the truck off!!!

I ended up taking the day off work because I wasn't feeling good this morning. But I atleast got something done while sitting here, I just sent my final payment off to the bank! I am very happy to have it paid off, one less thing to worry about especially now days with the economy the way it is.

Well, it got my payment to only $385 and you have to remember that was with no money down.

And they gave me way too much for my trade-in.

It does feel good. I just paid mine off last month. The wife's car only has $1900 left on it. So in a few months I'll own all 3 vehicles, 05 F150, 06 Accord, and 02 T/A. Then all the debt I'll have is the house but there is about another 25 years left on that one.

Thanks guys!! Yes it does feel good to have it paid off, but I liked the looks of our checking account before I made the final payment.

Thats the position that I will be in also, my 04 F150, the wifes 05 Focus and my 94 F150 (that has been paid off for over 10 years though) are all paid off. I am 1 year ahead of you on the house, I only have 24 years left, atleast according to the bank. Hopefully once my wifes student loans are paid off, another 6 years, then we will be making double if not triple payments on the house. So hopefully we only have 12-13 years left, hopefully!!

Take the truck payment you were making and add it to the student loan payment you're making now. OR add it to your mortgage payment each month. Just a thought. My wife and I have done this a few times when we get a loan paid off. Double up on on another one. If not, we would just spend it on things we don't need. :o

Metcalf: Where in world can you finance a truck for 12 YEARS?

I wish that we could, but we are expecting a baby girl in early May. So the money from the truck payment are going to be going for daycare, $560/month for daycare WOW, and other things for the little one.

Payoff was $9394. Original loan was $23,XXX ish. Todays payment was number 36 of 60.

Awesome, congrads on that too! Try paying for daycare for one that's 2 1/2 yrs old and new born TWINS! That was fun. Sure glad those days are over and my wife is now back at work. It almost saved us money when she quit her job to be a stay at home Mom.
