cluster

I was Just wondering How hard is changing my 2007 XLT cluster,...I want to install the fx2 sport cluster... Thanks...also please provide step by step ...

Very easy, takes about 20 minutes. Its a mater of taking off the plastic dash housing. Then unplugging the old cluster and installing the new. There are two plugs that connect the cluster.

yes it needs to be flashed for your truck. not to mention i wouldnt do it myself, unless you want to run into warranty issues unless for your 07 have 60k plus on it??

If you are going from an XLT to FX4 everything will work in the truck. Yes the mileage would have to be reprogramed.

You cannot program mileage...you have to get one with your mileage or slightly higher if you are buying used and swap when theyre equal...or buy new and get that programmed

Really? Thats bulls**t, the PCM should have that programed and update the cluster at every run cycle.

it's backwards. the cluster stores all the mileage info...not to say the PCM doesn't also, but the readout is controlled only by the cluster itself

Yeah Darren, you would think...make it alot harder for people to commit odometer fraud....Tylus, were finally agreeing on this?
