Lift Laws

For those lifted with more than their states restriction , what do you do as far

as inspections and what not ?

im lookin into adding pro comp stage 1 on top of my body lift and adding 38's

which is 4 inches over NJ's lift law of 11 total inches (lift + tires).

and not lifting , is not an option

Is it 11 inches of suspension lift or 11 inches of total lift their law?

If it's total lift i'd say keep your stock tires and make sure you have one block in the rear. I'd imagine that would put you under 11

Lift Laws?! WTH are those??? I dont have this problem here in texas

Forget the stupid "lift law" and go for it!! What are they going to do after youv already done it? Maybe you just moved there, or bought the truck else where.... Tell um its a show truck you dont drive everyday. there could be a million excuses, plus who is more likely to enforce it? state police? Local? if you dont do that much highway driving id say there is not much to worry about if its state police... all thats just my .02

11 inches total including suspension + tires , so your basically limited to a 6 inch lift and 35's booo

what if i did the pro comp and just keep my 35's on for the inspection,

it will bring me to 12 inches, i doubt they will care about 1 inch lol

then throw the 38's on

same with texas. heres your options:

1) make friends with someone who does inspections. thats what i have done for window tint
2) if you put your stocks on you should be fine with the lift law to get your inspection done. if your stock wheels won't bolt up just get spacers and they will work long enough to get inspection. same with a fix it ticket if thats how NJ does it
