My Custom Underhood & Bed Lighting

Thought I'd post some pics of a new mod I did last night, and a simple story about the addition to the bedrug. Bought a module with two remotes, one in the cab the other on the keychain to turn my bedlights on and off. Very responsive remote much better than my CA-670 turns on and off very well and even has a similar distance compared to my remote start. A lot of people ask to turn on the bedlights when they go back there, they can never find the switch so now I just hit the button on my keys. I also bought a new bedrug, my last one had a little bit of a chemical spill on it and warped a little.

The underhood lighting is nice, I am always finding myself under the hood without light, so for me it's very useful. Came out a lot brighter than I thought. It was a very clean install, all the wires are hidden as well as the lights and transformer. The switch is on the front of that plastic radiator cover/cowl, so it's easy to find when I can't see anything.

Here are the bedlights at Pismo. You can see my spotlight pointed in the air, it actually can be seen from pretty far, I use this as a "flag" so other duners can see me when I am on the other side of a dune, and so people I know can find me @ comp hill. Don't know why the pic does not reveal this well. The second pic was just a pic I had made into a poster because my friend had it done for cheap...might mean something in 20 years.

You guys know if you roll the dimmer wheel all the way up the white lights next to the 3rd brake light will come on. Regardless you can never have too much bed lighting it seems. I mounted tractor lights to my hitch for backing a trailor in when it is pitch black out.

Looks good.

Ive been meaning to do the same with mine, becasue like you, I am also under the hood or in the bed with no light it seems like, and even with the cargo light on my toolbox blocks a decent amount of light going into the bed. When I first got this new model truck and found out it didnt have an underhood light I bished about it for 3 months probably
Id like to use one of those door style switches to the lights come on automatically when the hood is opened, and shut off when I close the hood...

Do you mind me asking where you got those lights?
