Anyone used one of these? Up to double more MPG

A friend of a friend just had one of these installed on their Honda. He is now getting 60 mpg. I was wondering if anyone here has installed one on a F-150. I wouldn't mind trying one out on my 05 Supercrew.

Or put it in Park and turn the key to the "off" position.

I'm sure it works and in principle makes sense. But I'm willing to be that normal operation does not achieve a result increase of 5-8 MPG. It looks like a lot of the testimonials are seeing results of 3-5 MPG. Which at $600, you could spend a long time making that back in fuel savings.

Not to mention I have a hard time seeing those savings being 3-5 MPG under heavy load (towing).

Not to mention who knows that this is doing to your CATs.

proper operating temperatures are essential for complete combustion and maximum fuel efficiency. they just lost all credibility when they said it lowers operating temperatures.

Now you're going to ask, why don't the auto builders or other big corporations utilize this basic technology??? Its against their business model, if I can sell you an automobile that runs on inefficient fuel and promise you better mileage next time. And you haven't any other choices, what are you really going to do? Why is it that the auto builders have to be mandated to improve vehicle mileage? Because they are in bed with the oil producers and the lot of them are in bed with big banking money.

that's just laughable right there considering the state of the american auto industry with regards to fuel prices and poor sales due to poor mileage.

That reason worked back in the day when they were not bankrupt and closing plants left and right. Now I think the real reason is 90% of the consumers are too stupid to figure those HHO things out. It sounds like need to clean it out often and put in mixtures of vingar and water which a majority of people are unfortunately not smart enough to figure out.
