They used a similar kit on Mythbusters and couldn't get it to power a fuel-injected engine at all. It did, however, ignite rather violently causing a brief flare up in the engine compartment.

the Mythbusters episode was trying to run completely on Hydrogen alone.

The "system" in question suggests that hydrogen/oxygen are seperated and syphoned via vacuum into the engine and supplements the gasoline. This causes fuel efficiency of 15-45% and over 50% in some cases

you do realize the 1988-1996 302 and 351 in the F-150/Bronco are a Speed Density ECM? there are some MAF systems out there (1996 only I believe), but they're very rare.

Speed Density systems are a CLOSED LOOP ECM that basically operate off of O2 sensor feedback only. The fuel curves are preset for certain O2 variables and are NON-ADAPTIVE. The only thing you can truly affect is timing...manually

That alone shows me this system is a scam. The SD system isn't smart enough to adapt and utilize this system if it did work. Not to mention this system is a complete bastardization and I could do it better, and make it look better with half the effort.

Did the original poster bother to search this forum for "HHO" yet? This topic has already been beaten to death.

Well, well, well. For all of the folks who said it was a crock. Look what was in today's paper.

Nope. No reason to search "HHO." That wasn't the question. If you will go back and re-read what I asked, you will see where I asked specifically asked if anyone has tried the Tennessee Hybrid kit.

FYI - I did perform a search on Tennessee Hybrid and the results were zero.

HHO kits are HHO kits, whether they are commercially made or homemade. Paying 400 to 1200 bucks for something you can build yourself for less than $100 in parts is kinda silly.

I would get this, if not for the fact that I'm saving for new shoes that make me run twice as fast and jump twice as high.....

So you're comparing a commercially-made hydrogen fuel cell vehicle to a kit that was made from radio shack parts by a 12 year old? I don't think anyone is denying hydrogen as an alternative fuel, just that this particular site and product is a sham. Popular Mechanics tested a bunch of these wacky "fuel savers" a few years ago and found they all actually REDUCED performance and MPG. article here

Seriously people, if there really is a miracle product out there I'm sure we would all hear about it from a source other than the vendor themselves. People's naivety now that gas prices are continually on the rise makes me want to start my own website and sell magic horsepower beans. Any takers? Only $600, hand over your stimulus check, and I'll give you 120mpg, check out the screenshot of an excel spreadsheet on my website, it's proven 100 percent!

first it started out "Does it Work"

now it's "In your face, it Does Work"

funny, since the article is about a vehicle specifically designed to operate with Hydrogen and was developed over many years with millions of $$$ invested

...vs a 1990 F-150 that was "converted" to generate and burn Hydrogen/Oxygen from water...and it's all made in some guys garage for only $600. Wonder if he has any Bridges for sale

Wow funny guys, bashing Icemanrc over a question. Simple answer ...No I haven't used this or any other version. Although it does sound interesting, I'll be watching for more information. Any help is good help long as it's priced right or even better free.

i was told this was a option from a friend of mines dad. He has done it to several of his work trucks, him and a bunch of guys that work for him got together and researched and put together a few. He said he has them on three different F-150's all newer then 05. He has averaged a 3-4 mpg in two of them and he says the third one has had a increase of closer to 6mpg. I was trying to research the long term effects of what this will do to your motor. I believe a blend of hydrogen and gas could work but don't want to do more damage to a motor then the gas i save.
