Bought a F150 subwoofer and amp OEM off a seller on March 30, took 5 days to pay because the address he sent was not accepting the paypal payment. Finally got payment thru on April 3. The next day he emails me and says he has a family emergency and has to go to Florida and he offers to refund the money, I tell him I will wait the 2 weeks that he will be away and he says OK. A couple of days later I see him posting items for sale on EBay, I email him and ask if he's back and he says he's selling things for his sister. He also says he will send item immediatley upon his return to LA. The two weeks go by and no email from him, so I email and ask whats up. He says he will be home on the 23rd and will send out item on the 24th. I get home from work and find no shipping details, I email him back and he says he will give me refund, but no sub. This POS held me up for a month. And I'm still waiting for his money to clear thru PayPAl. Anyone know what other recourse I have to nail this A$$hole?
If you payed through Paypal, file a dispute with them immediately. save all e-mails from this guy, you might need to forward them to paypal as proof of non-shipment. If you used a credit card to pay, dispute the payment with them also.
lemme get this straight
you bought something, he told you he had a family emergency and offered to refund your money because he had to go outta town. you declined and wanted to wait. turns out he cant get you the product in the time he told you due to his emergency so hes gonna refund your money after a WHOLE 28 DAYS and now you want to "nail this A$$hole"
man ****, if you want good customer service dont buy **** off ebay. your not dealing with a store, your dealing with a person who probably has a life, family, job, and other things going on in his life that probably come before getting you your $100 parts
by all means i hope you get your money back but i think nailing the A$$hole is taking it a little hard, **** happens

I think this jerk made the mistake of listing the item with no reserve and it sold for less than he wanted, and this is his way of backing out...
DEFINITELY file a complaint with both PayPal and Ebay..get your money back and hopefully his account suspended....
this happened to me once...I wanted the piece of wood I won the auction for and made sure I got it...
what I hate about Ebay is when you give a valid negative report on a seller they are free to do the same to you for revenge...

File a complaint direct with Ebay and make sure you leave him negative feedback as well stating why.

Just because the seller for example offer to replace the guys money 6 months later lets say, that still makes it ok because he was refunded ? He stiffed him plain and simple.
Come on !
its not 6 months later, its less than four weeks later. and he didnt stiff him , hes giving him his money back just like he offered to do in the beginning right away when he knew he couldnt ship the product at the promised time. in the end the buyer is out, what, less than 4 weeks and lost no money (assuming the seller refunds it, if he doesnt i retract all previous statements and would help hunt him down personally if he was near me)
no one knows the whole story, and no one except the seller knows the details on the family emergency or how long it took to resolve. but imo it is wrong to just assume the seller is full of crap and to immediately jump down his throat about it without knowing exactly what happened

If you have time to offer a refund, you should have time to ship something. It takes 5 minutes to ship something out. I think he probably is just trying to get out of the deal
you can refund a paypal transaction from you cell phone, not sure if you can box, address, and ship something that easily.
you must live at the ups store, hows that working out for you
ive said my peace and can see im alone in my opinion, which really doesnt bother me much
yall have fun

I wanted the sub, was willing to wait. He made an offer to refund right away. I was willing to wait. He did not do anything that he promised. He either never had the item or sold it to some one else. The offer to refund was given to quickly. He never said that I will ship, he said REFUND. If youi win something on EBay, it is assumed you have the item ready to ship. I felt sorry for his familt emegency, but now it think it was a big stalling tactic beacause he never had the item.
I am kind of with Tally on this one. I wouldn't expect the buyer to be "happy" about what happened, but in the end he was out nothing. The seller did keep in contact with the buyer. The seller did not do anything illegal. Personally, there are plenty of times in life where you should go after someone, but if you have any life at all, is this really worth your time and effort? I don't know how old you are, but at this point in my life, I barely have time to do much of anything and if I went after every person who delayed something, I would be doing it on a daily basis and you find yourself a pretty miserable person in the end who missed out on more important things in life. Just my .02
