The Official Leather Install Guide w/pics
Finally completed the install of my Katzkins leather in my Scab FX4. It took me 2 days, stopping to take pics, 48 of them.
Start by depressing the hidden button to remove headrests
Pop off acess cover on seat belt cover box
Remove two 10mm nuts and pull off cover

Peel off seat cover, the rear seat back has 9 hogg rings across the horizontal seam that need cut.
Rear bottom cushions, remove plastic clip between the cushions
Remove T-50 torx bolt
Remove phillips head screw and pull off cover plate to reveal second T-50 torx bolt
Now pull out rear cushions, you may have to twist and swear, but it will come out. It helps to pry the cusion off of center pivot pin with a long flat screwdriver.

Ther are 3 hogg rings on the front side, and 2 on the back, cut and remove.
Now pull cover the rest of the way off, being careful around headrest posts so you don't tear seat cover. Reach up inside seat back from the backside and depress clips on headrest tubes and pull out, set them aside for reuse.
This bolt needs to be removed, it's a 15mm

Bare naked seat frame
Now install new cover, reverse of removal. If you have aftermarket covers or screw covers you now have to cut a hole for the seat belt on the top of the seat back. This is only needed if you are installing new covers in a scab or reg cab as they have the seat belt in the seat. OEM covers for a scab has the holes for the seatbelts in them.
Aftermarket covers, such as katzkins do not have the holes for the seat belt or the headrest tubes, you have to cut them. Does not matter what body style you order, that's how they are.
Also, if you are doing an install in a screw, you DO NOT need to unassemble the seat belt, just yank the old cover and install the new.
Now reassemble seat belt and seat, bolt bottom cushion back in and plug harnesses back in, your done.
