Nope, I did them that next morning. Took about 2-3 hours but that was due to running the wiring for the puddle lights. Everything looks great and works, now I just have to wait for v-led to get the puddle LED's back in stock. I placed my order but I'm just waiting for them to ship them.

You guys using RVD to reseal the puddle light lens after you take it off? Clear I assume.

I used Loctite® Super Glue ULTRA Gel Control™

Then I used some Irwin Bar Clamps to hold it together for a while.

I'll pass on using super glue just in case I ever want to take the lens back off.

XPerties I may contact you in a few weeks if u dont mind. The reason I Havnt jumped on buying the chrome caps I should of bought them while I had everything apart but didnt know you could buy just buy the caps at the time and would have to remove the mirrors from the door! DOH!!! Im not real excited about taking the panels off again with having to unmount my componet speakers in the front and with other issues.

However there so cheap may tackle it in a few weeks. Still not 100% how you removed them from your pics but wont worry about it till I order the chrome caps.

Yo bro, you don't have to remove the mirrors from your truck. All you have to do is remove the glass using a small flathead screwdriver to pop it out /(being careful not to break the glass), then remove 3 torx screws, push down on 2 tabs and the caps will pop right off.

The link I posted from another thread was helpful and using a small flashlight to view better behind the glass while using the screwdriver is also helpful. Just order the caps first so you have them when you get your others off.

No way!!? I though the 3 torx screws were on the backside in the same place were the 3 nuts held the mirror on the door for some reason!!! Going now to orde them!

Ill look for the link again you post showing now to remove the glass.

Nope they are behind the glass once you pop it off. If you tilt the glass at an angle (as far as it will go so you can get a peek behind it from one corner) you can see where you have to push the flathead in to pop it off.

These might help (ignore part about having to remove mirror from truck):

Makes sense. I don't want mine to come off, so I used that super glue.

Alright guys i'm wanting to make my order with tasca for these. I have an 04 Lariat with Power, Heat, and Signal currently. When I put in the part numbers it came up with ones for an 07-08 and ones for 09. Would anything be different between these two? Like wiring? And could someone whos done this before on an 04 chime in also so I know it wont be too hard other than switching a pin and running a puddle light wire? Thanks I'd like to get these today or Monday.

I have an 05 that had power, lights and turn and I swapped them out for towing mirrors off a 2010 Lariat and the only thing I had to do was:

Move pin 9 to pin 8 slot

Remove pin 2, cut the wire leaving a pig tail and move it to pin 11. Wire the pig tail to the black wire with blue stripe in the drivers door seal that is wired for the doom lights
....running the wire took the longest but everything works perfect. BTW the wire is for puddle lights and is not required if you don't want them or order them on your towing mirrors (if it's even optional).
