Just an update. This thread seems to have become the official towing mirrors thread, so I'm just gonna add this here.

My 2007 FX4 came prewired for the puddle lamps. I just plugged the connector in and the power, heat, turn signal, and puddle lamps worked. I thought only the 08's, king ranch, or mark lt's came prewired. Glad I tested it before I took the time to tear everything apart to run a power wire.

I did however swap the puddle lamp bulbs to LEDs to match everything else. Looks and works great.

Wow what a thread, i have spent the last many hours reading most of the pages of this thread trying to look for an answer to my question... please dont flame me as i have been searching for hours with no luck... I have a 2007 f150 xlt s/c long box, and i was installing my new towing mirrors today and i noticed that my mirror connector (vehicle side) only has 5 wires in it.. now looking at the diagram i know that 4 of them are for the power mirror portion of it and i also had the bk-lb wire for the puddle lights but that was all. I installed the mirrors and plugged them in and found that the power mirror portion of both mirrors is working properly but i have no turn signals and my puddle lights do not work... now what i think that i have learned from all of my reading is that on the vehicle side of my harness i need to add a ground wire into pin #8 and i need to run the signal wires from the driver side kick panel into pin #10?? i think that this is correct.. thanks in advance for all of your help..

Does anyone know if Tasca will run any specials anytime soon? I'd like to get a pair next time they have a special.

thanks,
Bob

We usually run the specials starting around Black Friday until Christmas, then again in April when everyone gets their tax refunds.

Think I ordered mine from fordparts.com or someting like that, they were out of Dallas, was about $40 cheaper than Tasca at the time. Pays to shop around a little bit.

Also one of my local dealers will match any online price, just have to pay the tax versus shipping.

I don't tow but find the stock mirrors have a pretty bad blind spot. I don't want to use the stick on spot mirrors to fix the blind spot. Did anyone get these purely for normal highway driving, not towing, and if so are you happy with them?

I'm thinking the same thing. I have an F350 for towing but love those mirrors. I don't know if they will look too big for the F150 or not. The mirros in the pictures look huge, but avoiding a wreck due to a blind spot is the goal.

These mirrors look different than the ones in the original 2007 accessory book. Are these made specifically for the F150?

thanks,
Bob

I will be using my most of the time for daily driving but do have a trailer and 5th wheel I will be pulling. I have them installed now on the truck and love how much you can see in the mirrors just by sitting the cab! Im running my wires for my puddle lights now. I ran one side and running the passenger side tonight. I tried finding the wire on the passenger side to tap into but the same color wire thats on the driverside on the passenger side doesnt run the the dome light so have to run it accross the cab.

Sorry to say but would think not, but hope they do for your sake! : )
If the guy could take a picture of the back might beable to tell you by just looking at the bolt pattern.
I finished installing mine last night and LOVE them. Man a night and day differance in driving and seeing out of them. I'll post pics later. It would be a VERY easy mod if it wasnt for hooking up the puddle lights! It was a pain but really wanted them hooked up.

The mirrors from the 2010 should bolt up no problem. There are people on this forum that have gone to the 09+ mirrors on the later model trucks. You might have to switch a few wires around on the wire harness.
