New Truck
Hey guys, ive been looking around here for a while, trying to figure out what i want because ill be getting a new truck here in the next month or two. My debate right now is between an 04-06 FX4, or an 07 Silverado, the new body style. Ive been a long time fan of the F150, but its hard not to notice the changes they have made for the better. Granted, im still leaning F150, so dont worry, but i was just wondering if you guys had any input? If you guys have any info or anything it would be helpful, its a hard decision. Thanks in advance!

I know this is a ford site but never dose he test it against a dodge why not? also he pics what to test I would like to see all dodge, ford, chevrolet/gmc and toyota all get together and say the pros and cons of each others trucks.

i thinki it is funny how he picks on only certain aspects of each truck. i think the test needs to be run on a side by side comparison of all aspectsof the trucks. i have owned chevy for the last twenty years. and i can tell you that the ls based engines in the chevy will always outperform the ford triton engines for power. nowi do likie my ford and theway that it tows. i do love the interior and the exterior much better. but i think these comparisons are a little picky. and the fact that they come with electric fans from the factory is nice. there tuneability is also way better.

added note
I own a 07' Tahoe, which shares the same engine and interior as the new Silverado LTZ. I have gone and test driven the new Silverado and I will say that they have improved the truck but when parked side by side with my F150 doing a feature comparison I still would pick the F150. I like the Silverado, It has the same drive and feel as my 07' Tahoe but doesn't surpass my F150
So therefor my opinion isn't an ignorant opinion, I am speaking from ownership experience in some form.

Honestly, having driven both, I think the main difference for me was the feel - the chevy felt more like a car than the ford acted like a truck, if that makes sense. The chevy obviously had a little more power, although the fords interior looked better imho.
It's all about your preference. I def. agree that you should shop around and see if you can take a truck home for the night. I know a few years ago you were still allowed to do that, at least, around here you were (small town).
