Thats what I did, but I had my bookmarks erased a while back and was super mad! I had a lot of good sites for our trucks on their bookmarked and it was all wiped away. Oh well, thanks for the link.

Seriously though, nice mod. I just wish I had any such skills to perform such a mod; guess I'll stick to banging on the keyboard.

i love the 671, well my only 2 complaints are that the range of the remote could be much better and that it honks too much(twice when started, twice when locked), i got it from travis.....how long have you been waiting for an email? iv been waiting about a week now.....

Ya about that for me too. I had emailed him back in Dec., on a Sunday and he called me less then an hour later. This time no response. I figure he's on holidays or something. I'm not really in a big hurry anyways. Did you get a discount for being a member? He told me about a coupon but when I tried it, it didn't work. That's the only thing I'm waiting back to hear about.
What is the actual range? He said realistically about 800' if I remember correctly.

yeah i figured he was on vacation because in the past i got responses right away, but my mom actually got it for me for christmas so i dont know if she got a discount or not...i did email her a link to his site and to say im on here, she says he talks ALOT, apperently she talked to him on the phone which is how she knew to get some other stuff like the bypass and shock sensors, the range really depends on a clear shot to the antena....tonight i was standing about 100' directly infront of my truck but there was a car in the way and it didnt work, i do have the antena mounted behind my tint on the top of the windshield maybe that is affecting it....

I'll chime in too - wicked mod. I had been working out something like this in my head for a bit, thinking it would be handy when my arms are full and I need the tailgate down to load. I was guessing I'd need a door popper to give the tailgate that initial "push" to start it opening. Guess it didn't need any help?

i was thinking the same thing and was dreading itwhile i was installing all of this because it would be a real downer if i got it all done and still needed to order a popper, but nope it didnt need a helping start

o and i do have a button on my kick panel to open it too, not sure if i mentioned that

Nifty setup, works pretty cool in theory.
Say your carring a flat cart full of plywood, you have to stop and open the tailgate to load. Now you just press a button, and the tailgate drops automatically waiting to engulf the plywood!
And dont worry no need to lift the gate, the 4X8 sheets hold it open just fine!
Damn 5.5 ft boxes.

Besides, all cars come with remote trunk open, but no remote trunk close...

On a different note, AZ im still debating on which alarm to get too.
I wanted the old CA series... now with the new models i dont know what to pick. Does your 671 have the telematics port? (for the phone operation module?) Travis seems busy, so i dont want to fire off an email when im still not quite ready to purchase.

im 99% sure it has it ill check here in a few minutes, yeah it took him a while to respond on his own forum and on here(never got an email back but i asked the same queations in that as on the forums) he said he is working up to 20 hour days right now......

I've already decided on that one. I think I'll just order it and not worry about the discount (if there is one). If he's working 20 hour days I wont bother him with me trying to save a few bucks.
