sounds like the fx4's come with a lot of variations not listed on the ford sites.

sorry, but they are still DARK GREY! I can see the difference on my truck, they are not the same as the mirrors/handles, but I admit are close in color. If you had the lower dark grey two-tone color, then you could see that they are actually dark grey.

Also no Audiophile option in XLT, PLUS I recall reading starting in 2005 Ford needed to reduce build costs so on every level excluding Lariat/FX4, by reducing sound deadning material.... So XLT 2005+ means cabin is louder...

And yes the flares on a FX4 are dark grey almost a flat balck, but Ford calls em dark grey. That said on my all black Fx4 they do look almost black... but as said earlier on a two tone unit they start to look more grey... Although they are darker then the dark grey paint. This always bugged me as now you had 3 diff shades going...

My friends 07 FX4 has 3.55's, not sure why though? (especially w/20's)

The FX4 has 400 hp and 550 lb torque with the optional diesel engine. 35's with a standard 4" lift from the factory. (I wish)
