Really an FX4?
yea but the fx4 trim model was the only one of the five available (XL, STX, XLT, FX4, and Lariat) that didn't say the trim model on that badge. The XL, XLT, and Lariat each label the trim on that fender badge. STX and FX4 both did not, hence the sticker on the rear.
So we have it narrowed down to two......
The Fx4 is a bigger truck

I would think the dash is the dead give-a-way!! It may be easy to change, but who/why go through the cost and hastle of getting one just to misrepresent the truck as a FX4.
So, does it have the FX4 dash/instrument cluster??
Also curious why you think it's not??

two tone paint is the giveaway, fx4's have a dark gray bottom paint on bumpers and the sides, unless you have a dark gray truck, you will have 2 tone paint, not matching paint or chrome bumpers, if ya dont than you got an xlt probably

Geeze... does anyone read anything anymore? Yes it is true that some trucks are two tone, but in no way shape or form are all FX4's 2-tone. Wow... Like I said the only way to know is to run the VIN #
