Has anyone tried the little tire valve caps that change color when the preasure is too low.
Thanks

A member on here had them once. He said they worked well untill one of them blew off. Because of the way they read the tire pressure, once it blew off, all the air came out. A instant flat tire.

Your 2007 has the TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) from the factory. When a tire goes low a light comes on in the dash. Unless Canada is different...just noticed your location....:o

Untill you change your tire/rim combo. Then it goes haywire or dosent work at all.

I have these valve caps your talking about. I have never had a problem with them. I also just recently purchased a new set of tires. They are green on top when there is enough air pressure, yellow when low, then red when dangerous. I have never had one change from green yet. I'm assuming they work. BTW these came on my truck from the dealership I bought my truck from brand new. I assumed all the FX4's came with these.

Nope- dealer add-on, they saw youre an aggie and might not be able to figure out where to check the air pressure at.

Edit- I make an aggie joke and cant even get the grammer right.

I know I'm not the only one with the BFG A/T KO's 305/65/18 on my truck on this forum. What air pressure is everyone out there running? I just got mine and the Discount Tire guys set mine at 35psi I think. Is this too low for this load E tire? I was under the impression that load E tires just hold up better under higher air pressures, but you don't have to keep them at high psi all the time (unless under heavy loads). Anyone running these at a different psi?

No need to go and get all offended. As for the tires, I'm running mine at about 45psi. However a lot of people swear by running all tires at the factory rec. pressure of 35

I am fully aware of the information on the inside of the drivers door. I was just wondering if there is some other psi settings since I have bigger better tires than stock.

Thumbs down

Well I tried the indicator caps. Had them for 3 weeks and the low tire pressure light came on. One tire was down to 20 psi. Pumped it back to 35 and reinstalled the cap. It would not read properly. Tried one from another tire and it was fine. Tire is holding air with the old basic valve cap back on it.
I will return them. To sensitive an area to take a risk
