Where's the advertising.....

What's happened. When I was shopping around for my 05' F150, Ford was putting all kinds of ads on TV, many of which were funny, showing how the F150 was better than all the others. For the past year, I can't recall a good commercial Ford has put out for their F150. Is Ford embarrased b/c Toyota and GM aren't shy with their advertising? Seems Ford has shifted more to the F250 and their crossover SUVs than their backbone F150 which keep them afloat. What happened to the "Truth About Trucks" slogan they pushed for the first year???????

its because the current f150 is old news.
when the new one starts hittin the shows.
believe me youll start seein lots.

right now theyre just doing the rather serious commercials with mike rowe or w/e his name is, to prove how its still tough.
example the commercials about its towing, and its crash test safety commercials. they dont need to be laughing now, they will be laughing in 2009 when theyre ahead, then we will see some good commercials.

And been here longer? Wasnt aware Sept 06 was more recent than may of 07

point is new name of not he has 4 post and signed up this month. Made a smart *** comment about a ford on a ford site. You do the math. Regardless of how many great post he had under his other name he was asking for that comment

Apparently, you are a pretty good detective so why even post your first two sentences?

Regardless, more on topic. How in the hell do you think his comment was even the smallest bit trollish? He said that in the TUNDRA commercial that there were FORDS. If anything that is supporting Ford, Sorry try again.

"America's Truck" commercial best one ever.

Ford has some decent commercials out now, like was mentioned, such as the safety one and I recall seeing some here or there about the 30-year streak. Nothing awe-inducing, rather dry stuff, but right now they have to focus on solid proven stuff since it's the same model since 2004 and most others have new trucks out now except Dodge and Nissan I believe, but the new Titan looks no different to me that's coming out and heard nothing about new Ram.

Do you recall the "America's Truck" commercial Ford had on TV when they were launching the all-new 2004 F-150? That was an AWESOME commercial. I still have the video of it on my computer. Easily Ford's best F-150 commercial.

Wasn't it last year they had that funny one? There was a big motorcyle gang driving out to a bar, scaring other motorists along the way. But when they get to the bar, there is just a long row of huge F-Series trucks parked in front of the bar, and the biker guys are like, "Uh... I think there's a better bar down the road anyways." and take off.

They also had one where a F-150 pulled a Chevy truck out of the water that was trying to pull a boat up the ramp.
The Chevy truck driver says, "Boy, that sure sunk fast!"
and the F-150 driver said, "Yeah, like a rock."

I really hope they do something epic like the "America's Truck" commercial when the '09 is releasing. That would be truly excellent.

Yeah, the film crew probably uses Ford trucks to get their gear to the job site!

I kinda dig the commercial celebrating the 30 years of dominance where the F150 smashes through a gigantic birthday cake.. crap all stuck in the grille, wipers smearing frosting across the windshield.. Kinda cool..
